R-stick always... it gets you into an advantageous position when you bust out where the power escape normally just stands you up. If you're a guy like Rampage though, the power might be more effective in some cases because they're likely to pick up the guy and slam them to escape.

But yeah, IMO go with the stick in 99% of occasions.

So, after I rock them I can just click (walk) towards them and stand over them?

Yes, then rain down punches until either KO or the ref stops the fight.

?....i cant ever seem to break out of a submission hold vs the CPU. With the whole right stick circle, which way do you circle. Because I can never seem to break out of it at all. Quite frustrating because ill go from being in command to being submitted because of this. Its the only thing i cant do right now, still struggle with getting guys off mount, but thats more of a puzzle/strategy cuz you gotta remember which way to roll and what not. But the Getting out of submissions i need help on

Just do a "fireball motion" from any of the cardinal directions. If you start a minor transition at 12 o'clock, you could either swing to 3 o'clock or 9 o'clock, it doesn't matter. It does make a difference in certain positions because you'll end up in side control left instead of right, but that doesn't matter in terms of moves or execution.

For major transitions, start a bit further back -- so in the example above you'd start at 2:00 and swing all the way over to 9:00 (counter clockwise) or start at 10:00 and swing to 3:00 (clockwise).

I find it easiest to start at 6:00 and go clockwise, but it really doesn't matter.

EDIT: Whoops, I mis-read your questions. I always rotate the stick clockwise to break out of subs because that's what's easiest for me, but you can rotate counter-clockwise too. I put the stick in the middle of my palm and "wax on".

Palming for submissions makes a BIG difference.

It's tough to keep a smooth circle using just your thumb.

yeah, rotate clockwise to get out of subs. Just keep rotating it as fast as you can over and over until you are out.

Not trying to be rude but... Pause > Action List when you are in the position. It's a wrestling style specific move.

Reading through here, most of these questions are either answered several times, or are listed in the pause menu or tutorial. Do people not do the tutorial or read first?

Not trying to be a **** here, but I see new posts and I think "goody new information" and it is nothing but, "how do I do this?" for the 10th time.

Just an FYI for those of you using Muay Thai fighters, those vertical elbows from the guard are vicious. I've finished more fights with those than i have with mounted ground 'n pound.
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

                                how do you punch?

I have been mounted and had some success with holding their head down (if you have a good ground guy) and if the are not smart they will gas them selves out trying to punch you and transition. Then you sneak in a sub for the win !!
