Re: UFC 98: Evans vs. Machida
He was being cocky and saying he was ok those punch don't hurt.Until machida caught him that one punch.
Everybody has declare machida the golden child after this fight and rightful so but until he gets take a real hit,i am going to doubt him.Yes his great speed and evasion ability is what is keep him from taking that big hit.
I am waiting for to go against rampage, griffin, wanderlei somebody good power who does not care about being hit.
He just KO'd Thiago Silva in his last fight by KO. Silva's first loss, a guy who wins most of his fights by KO. Plus wins over Ortiz, BJ Penn, Rich Franklin, Stephan Bonner. Dude is for real !My Fan Page http://theusualgamer.net/MyFanPage_Heelfan71.aspx

Re: UFC 98: Evans vs. Machida
I've got to ask, though - what does taking a good hit prove? The point is, he's dominated everyone he's fought while taking almost no damage. Who cares what kind of chin he has when you can't hit it? I don't think whether he has a strong chin or not has ANYTHING to do with his abilities or skills - which are out of this world right now.
And he already has fought someone like that - Thiago Silva. He murdered him.
I get the gut feeling that he is going run into Forrest or wanderli, all that evasion skills is going to meaning nothing against person who is willing take punch to get close. If he is as good people here seem to think i will good be i proven wrong which i don't mind because i like how machida fights.Last edited by Luck911; 05-24-2009, 08:01 AM.Comment

Re: UFC 98: Evans vs. Machida
Lyota "dominated" the fight in a way that's different than we're used to. He didn't do to Evans what Anderson Silva did to Rich Franklin the first time they fought, when he controlled nearly every second of the match from start to finish. However, there was no point in this fight where Evans appeared to have any control. He didn't take the center, he didn't show much aggression (one flurry, and as a counter), and he got knocked out pretty good. I don't think anybody who watched the fight can say they thought Evans was going to win DURING the fight based on his performance.Acts 2:38. Let the truth be told.

Are you saying that Forrest has a better chance of beating Machida than Silva? Who do you think would win between Forrest and Silva?Acts 2:38. Let the truth be told.

Re: UFC 98: Evans vs. Machida
Machida took some hard punches in this fight. He too about 5 'power' punches when goldberg mentioned he handed taken a good one since fighting bj penn. They weren't crazy ko punches he took but they were hard enough to gage a reaction and they were right in the face- they didn't phase him.
Just thought I'd mention that because people will still be asking what happens when he gets hit hard. We saw that, all that's left is what happens when he's rocked.
What's his next fight? Does Rampage still fight Rashad next anyway?Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

Re: UFC 98: Evans vs. Machida
**** no! Rampage is next in line for the belt. ****, this should have been his title shot. I think Evans will fight someone like Rua, the loser or winner of Franklin/Silva or Matt HammillComment

I wouldn't count griffin out ever, hell he won the 1st 2 rounds vs evans. Griffin has the reach over Machida, I actually think it would be a good fight.Comment
