Well then I apologize to anyone who thought I was trying to make fun of him for his color. That was not my intentions. I was only talking about the way he moves and acts in the ring.

It seems to me that others on here have issues. I cant believe how big a deal it was made into. I wouildnt have typed it if I knew it was going to "hurt feelings".

The Dragon continues to impress. He had his way with Rashad which was good to see. Rashad looked so freaking puzzled in the ring. I have no doubt that Rashad will be back though. The other thing I was thinking about is who is going to beat the karate master? I don't know.

Anyone else surpised at how bad Hughes has become? He isn't anywhere near the fighter he used to be. It seems like nobody is scared of him anymore.

I was thinking the same thing. He looks like a mere shell of himself. I guess age catches up with you after a while. Liddell falls into the same category.

Agree about Liddell, but at least Liddell still has a punchers chance. Hughes' lay n' pray crap he did last night wouldn't work against most upper tier WW's.

I'm still not feeling that Hughes decision. Reminds me of the way they let Clay Guida get away with a win after hugging Nate Diaz most of the fight.

Agree. IDK if its my homerism getting in the way, but it felt like Serra deserved the win more. He was more active and fought well. Technically, Hughes didn't really fight well. He had that one good trip and dropped a few elbows from side control. Nothing other then that.

Ha well age has that effect, also we're watching MMA evolving right now so I would imagine its harder for someone in their forties to keep up.

Yeah, 2 very similar crappy fights.

The thing with the Hughes fight and the Guida fight for me is octagon control. They controlled their opponents for most of their fights and deserved the win. By no means were either of those fights very entertaining but by the rules of the UFC they both did enough to win the fight. I'm a little more upset with Diaz and Serra for not being able to reverse the situations. Fights like that are going to happen and the only way to prevent it is to work on your sprawl and learn some switches. Both Diaz and Serra were, for the most part, ineffective in those fights.

Serra was controlled by Hughes. Serra was the one with a swollen face. Hughes got hit with a headbutt and a punch to the back of the head. Hughes won the fight.

On the topic of Hughes aging, I think a big part of it is his 51 fights. Time to retire for Matt.
