I didn't know Gilbert Melendez's wife was making her debut on this card suddenly there two two more fights after the Carmont v Linton fight.

Now it's Adam Piccolotti vs. Brandon Girtz, I havent seen these two fight so this should be interesting.

I wonder how many more fights MVP does before fighting for the championship.

e: Ward v Kovalev going to be fun starting soon

I'm surprised he's not higher ranked or fought for belt already. I don't have a problem with it, but I am surprised.

I agree but definitely not surprised Bellator seems to be building MVP up more than any other fighter in recent memory. I don't blame them he's the closest fighter visibly in style to Anderson Silva so that's appealing. They are doing what the UFC did with Connor McGregor but slower.

Great fight here between Piccolotti v Girtz is clinical.

The lead body kick in eaufc2 should look like the ones Piccolotti is throwing here.

e: Lol Chael Sonnen is a great commentator I hope he's a fixure, is this the first Bellator he's commenting I haven't heard him yet. But he's a good match.

They should have Girtz level distance cover as well, explosion was reminiscent of prime Hendricks etc. He was having trouble in the start closing the distance but began to explode and close range in the last round. Real good cardio tank there. Great scramble and good win for Piccolotti.

Lunging strikes for some fighters should cover as much distance as Faber's double or eaufc 1 superman punch. But intercepting the lunge should be counterbalance by Machida v Bader like KOs/stuns walking/lunging into strikes, so it'd be better balance.

ohsh bmma announce Fedor v Mitrione

I forget where but I've heard Chael call fights in the past, don't remember where. Maybe regionally, dudes good. His work on UFC tonight was exceptional before he got fired.

                  Re: OS MMA Random Thread

I'm real excited for this fight now coming up.

MVP v Gonzalez either way I am happy- Gonzalez is from San Diego around where I am between Vancouver, Big Bear, and San Diego. From what I have seen he's a real exciting fighter, this is a good match up.

MVP is a difficult fight, but I can safely expect Gonzalez will bring the fight to MVP more than any of his previous fights.

e: Seems I was wrong on that one, but Gonzalez is doing a smart thing but at the same time MVP is being allowed to do his thing.

Just earlier Johnny Eduardo comes through with a jab tko, something you'd expect from MVP based on all his Roy Jonesing.

Well maybe I was right. Gonzalez has done better than any of MVP's previous opponents and made MVP look average.

That fight was terrible, but MVP is crazy dangerous. Props to Gonzales, he's the winner in my eyes. I had round one a draw at 0-0.

One judge scored it 30-27 Gonzalez. I can see that.

he controlled Center of octagon, offense was minimal from both sides, at best, threw rounds 2. Gonzales still impressed me.

Chandler split decisions Henderson and Bader TKOs Lil Nog.
And Ward walks away with a win lol.

Overall it was good night of fights.

After MVPs performance I really hope he brings up the level like he's been claiming he'd do. He really disappointed tonight and that's coming from someone who's a big fan.
