Me neither. I thought it was a sure thing after Cormier called him out into the cage and they had that scuffle. It seems less likely by the week now tho.

I think Lesnar has another 2 months of USADA testing anyway. Cormier it seems doesn't think it'll happen either now, he's talking about fighting Mioic and Jones... earlier he wasn't entertaining it until after Lesnar.

I dont think its happening. At least not this spring. WWE lost one of their biggest stars to Leukemia a few months ago and rumor has it they threw big money at Brock to come back until Wrestlemania which is in April.

It does seem so. Cormier said he wanted to retire before he turned 40 which is in March. However apparently now he is open to fighting maybe a few more times like Dana wanted.

That opens up the possibility of summer- probably that international fight week card. This would allow Lesnar to compete at WrestleMania and fight for the UFC title later on.

I think there can be a hint to the plans if Lesnar drops the title or not at the Royal Rumble which is in late January. That may suggest if he is available for spring or not.

Yeah, the Rumble result matters and if Reigns is able to recover sooner than we think.

So what do you think? Stipe rematch? Jones doesnt seem interested in going up to HW and Dana doesnt seem to want the rematch at LHW.

I doubt Reigns will come back this year, I read somewhere that Leukemia is harder to fight off each time it resurfaces. However Reigns does have access to top notch medicals that the average Joe does not.

I think Miocic is the most likely fight for Cormier. Cormier said he was interested in rematching Jones but I don't know if he would come back to LHW for it and Jones specifically said he doesn't want to move up to HW for Cormier.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem like the Jones rematch will happen. They don't seem to be able agree to terms. Miocic seems most likely if Lesnar is out of the picture.

Dana said he thinks Cormier can go for 3 more fights, but I think Cormier will probably retire after his next fight.

Watching UFC top 10 personalities on ESPN (NEVER thought I'd say that) and they get to Tito.......... Nothing ever made me happier than seeing him lose but **** if he didn't have the best winning post fight taunt ever.

Well I guess they are saying enough ppl know Jones, so it can work. They'll just sell Smith as this big ko monster on the promos. Plus there's really not much guys for Jones to face honestly(Smith, Santos,Volkan, Reyes?)...Gus was the biggest fight. That's how shallow the LHW division has become and Jones has almost cleared it out. Maybe the arrival of Rockhold can make things more exciting, cuz honestly Anthony Smith is nothing more than a tune up fight for Jones imo.

Amazing how deep we used to look at LHW compared to now. Now it looks like the heavyweight division did until about 04-05ish.

Jones still isn't licensed. I'm hoping Nevada does the right thing, but the UFC has probably already taken care of them. They have in their rules that as a liability issue, you can't have any illegal substances in your body, no matter how they got there. At a minimum, they need to say Jones can't fight until he is clean and passes tests while cutting weight and "pulsing".

Then Jones will all of a sudden stop pulsing.


Side note- Jones now wants his win back against DC because he says he was just pulsing then now. Says it would be in his system for 7 years.

To be fair there are plenty of people at LHW that Smith would likely lose to.

OSP, Reyes, Latifi, Anderson I’d favor.
