Yh man this sucks. They need to just leave Ferguson vs Khabib alone. It's obvious the matchup is cursed lol. On a side note though, Holloway vs Khabib is still an interesting one. Style wise and cuz Max has a chance to become just the 2nd guy to hold two belts at the same time.

Re: MMA Off-Topic
Sounds like Max has a lot of weight to cut. Don't know what he walks around at, but a little concerning if he has a big cut for 155, as that's 10 lbs. above his division.Currently Playing:

Re: MMA Off-Topic
This is really stupid by the UFC. Max was hurt 1 month ago, so he isn't 100%. He has a lot of weight to cut in less than 1 week. He hasn't been training so he isn't in shape. He also is the champ of another division.
So if he overcomes his injury, his big weight cut to make weight, poor conditioning, then what happens if he wins?
Is he going to vacate this belt after just winning it?
......
Or this injury happened 1 month ago and Max was pulled and has been training knowing this was coming. It gives hhim a payday and he doesn't get any downside to losing in another division on 6 day notice.
Then UFC sets up the huge payday in Russia against Conor.

Re: MMA Off-Topic
Well it seems Holloway was pulled from the card as well and now Pettis is in for him.
And McGregor got 3 fights from this card pulled.Comment

Re: MMA Off-Topic
There isn't much bright side to this, but McGregor has gotten a lot of mainstream publicity for his terrorist act.
Good or bad publicity, either way it seems to have increased the interest in UFC 223- at least in terms of Google.Comment

Re: MMA Off-Topic
Yeah, it’s only some misdemeanors that he got charged with too. And one criminal mischief charge, whatever that means.
Another commentator ( can’t remember who) said the same thing. This is all a big ploy to get money flowing for a big fight between Floyd and McGregor.

Hearing some wild stuff. Anyone else?
From Terez Owens
Per our great source: This deal is worth a total of 320m/yr (160m/yr each). ESPN and NBC to pay for production (current deal UFC pays for production). ESPN and NBC will also have streaming rights and the fightpass prelims moving to their streaming platforms. Contender series to replace tuf (each network gets one season each per year). PPV’s reduced to 6 a year. New weight classes to be added to help fill the increased fight nights (men 165, female 105, etc). Each network will have exclusive rights to certain fighters (similar to how HBO and Showtime have their own boxers which they develop and build) outside of PPV. Remember you heard it here first! – TOComment
