Damien Maia at +155 vs. Gilbert Burns is talking to me. I'll definitely throw a wager on that one. Old man Maia doesn't lose to anyone but the elite. I can't go against him until I see a dropoff.

Brandon Moreno +135 over Jussier Formiga
Charles Olivera +120 over Kevin Lee

Both of those fights are interesting to me too. Jussier is a good fighter, but not so much so that Moreno winning would surprise me. Kevin Lee is riding high off the Gilespie win, and I feel like he should win this fight too, but Oliveira has been on a crazy run. I'll probably just parlay both of those fights into the Maia pick, and see what happens.

With all sports canceling, this probably means Khabib /Ferguson fight is gonna be cancelled again! Fight Gods do not want this fight to happen

Glad I ended up taking Moreno straight up as well. Still a good night for my bets even without Maia coming through. That little ground exchange between him and Burns was awesome! I wish that the fight could've lasted longer just to see some more of that.

Very nice shot by Burns, though. The ref could've let it go a little longer, but Burns probably would've finished him earlier if he jumped on top immediately.

This has been a very entertaining card all around.

Well nevermind. UFC is officially now the only major sport in town

Right now they moved stuff to the UFC gym or whatever in Vegas. Issue is Nevada banned everything, so if that expands further it will be hard to find somewhere to do it. UFC probably has to have a licensed event and can't put one on themselves. The only other option would be going to a reservation where the laws don't apply.

They could go outside the US but getting fighters in and out of the country may be hard.

Personally I'm baffled that UFC managed to pull off the UFC Brasilia card. Their tenacity should remind us how UFC got to the top in the first place. I'd be shocked if the London card is not cancelled and the Apex licence eventually revoked. One of these fighters or staff will pop for the virus eventually.

Also this whole thing has finally convinced me that the fighters will never unionise.

The only reason the fights aren't canceled yet is Nevada only canceled things through 3/25. It will be canceled when they meet again. They really only have 1 option to fight in the US and that would probably take a lot of money and only fighters currently in the US.

Now Dana could pay for isolation and testing for all fighters and teams, but that costs money and the UFC is cheap.

Sucks as there are now no sports at all. I watched the full card from Brazil when I really had little interest for most of the fighters. It's going to get boring soon.
