If he really is retiring it's a damn shame but not as surprising.

He still has drawing ability, he could continue for a while if he wanted.

Yeah but if he wants to take advantage of that and not get punched so hard in the face he could just go to the WWE or something.

Apparently Conor really is retiring.. at least for now.

For sure. But I think even Conor realizes he'll never beat Khabib (and likely could never beat him on his best day). So why go through all those grueling training camps just to be a gatekeeper.
It's too bad he and Diaz didn't have a 3rd fight at 155. I would have loved to see that.

But I can't blame him. Once you've made all that money, it's hard to put in the work knowing you really don't have to.

He'll comeback for big money. This is probably a negotiation ploy to get more money for the July fight. The UFC needs him right now.

Connor got more legal problems. He is being investigated in Ireland for sexual assault.

Yh I mean with all the money the guy has, its really no need to keep fighting. Khabib will always be a bad match up for him, so no sense in trying that again unless he really feels he has something to prove. Would have really liked to see a rubber match between him and Diaz for sure though. Who knows, maybe this is just a move by Conor cuz he and the UFC are having issues negotiating. If he really has decided to retire though, can't say it isn't a smart move. He already has the money...no need to keep getting punched in the face.

You're probably right. Didn't he do the same thing and then unretired day later to fight Diaz for muchos dineros?

Yup he retired before the second Diaz fight. Hell he was just on Jimmy Fallon talking about his next fight and then he like, nah, I’m retired.

It’s a negotiating ploy. When he shows up at Wrestlemania, then I’ll believe it.

Woodley probably going to be the favorite, but Lawler should do better than last time.

^ Oh wow that's a good rematch tbh. Hoping Robbie can get it done this time around. A win should put either man back in the title contender picture at least.

I expect Ngannou to be the favorite. Less worn and more power is a bad matchup for JDS at this stage. JDS has been looking the best he has post-Cain tho, he is still probably more technical so he has better options than trading with Ngannou.

^ Another great fight. This should be an interesting one, as we are seeing both JDS and Francis seem to catch a "second wind", so to speak. I expect to see JDS similar to how he was against Lewis, with a very technical and patient approach. I expect Francis to be a bit cautious also, but Francis has a good chin. So he needs to go after JDS and go straight into the fire to win imo. A win could put both men back to title contention.
