Yeah the quitter suck. People who quit more then twice in an hour should automatically get a 1 week suspension. And getting 2 suspensions in one month should automatically be a 2 month ban.

Anyway on a side note......I was surprised to see so many copies of this games still in stores. Best Buy had 5 for the 360 and 12 for the PS3. Walmart had 7 for the 360 and 9 for the PS3.

About the only thing that was sold out was the strategy guide.

So, not knowing anything about MMA and/or UFC, I tried out this game at a demo kiosk at Gamestop.

HOLY CRAP THIS GAME IS BRUTAL! is the impression I came away with. I don't think I've seen such forceful and impacting punches in any game ever, particularly when I was able to get my opponent down and repeatedly pound him on the head (eventually TKO'ing him); my jaw hit the floor. Probably the most realistic fighting game I've ever played, and the sheer level of realistic brutality exceeds anything else I've ever seen in a video game.

Not knowing any of the controls (to do grabs, counters, etc.), it did seem like the sort of game that could degenerate into a button masher if you had people playing who didn't know how to play. I also couldn't get a feel for the longevity of the game, given the situation I played it in, but holy cow did it leave an impression.

That's kinda irrelevant, though, without knowing how many copies are shipped to each store.

THQ is pushing a lot of their chips in with this game. Development reportedly cost $20 million, marketing is going to cost somewhere near that, it'd make sense that they'd send stores enough copies to last at least three days. Would seem like a bit of an oversight otherwise.

Same here.

The only thing that really annoys me are non-gameplay things, like the menus (OMG, whoever designed the way to put sponsors onto your shorts needs to be bludgeoned) and the small choice of announced nicknames. The in-cage gameplay is fantastic.

If it's this good this year, I can't wait to see what the game is like in the future.

agreed. the menus are a chore to deal with, and that should never be the case.

is there any way to turn off the aggravating autosaving in between exhibitions..? its so annoying to have to take that long to start a fight with new fighters and it seems like it takes longer to get into a new fight than the actual fights sometimes.

It is the best fighting game I have ever played be it real sports or Street Fighter/Tekken games.

Street Fighter is the greatest fighting game/series ever. Easily. But this game is great, and is one of the best sports sims ever, IMO. It's got my early vote for sports game of the year.

Loving this game alot.

I folowed UFC since the dark days when it was grappler heaven. Soo many snooze fest fights. Stopped watching.

Like most spike TV's Ultimate Fighter got me hooked again. Plus the UFC seems to keep guys who give good fights and toss the guys that just don't want to entertain.

This game is great. Much better than the demo. The menus to add logos is the dumbest thing i can find. Most other things work really well.

Controls are responsive and take practive but are very rewarding when you execute them. I've never really owned a fighting game...they always see too complicated for me. But the realism in this one and the way the controls work make alot of sense to me.

I'm 7-0 in my career and Razor Sharp Ruffy is tearing up the ranks. Well until my next fight. For fun I passed on two known opponents and accepted a later match against ???. At my first big UFC Event.

God help me. Karo Parisian....I'm screwed. I'm a kickboxer with BJJ and i stray to stay off the ground. Keep the opponent away with jabs and kicks. All my wins have come from my devastatinglly timed high kicks!

I've got a feeling Karo is gonna take me down and pound my fave into pulp. I gotta read up the strategy thread to better improve my training methods. Training for your opponents style seems key to me.

Loving this game though.

Not easily at all. There's just so much more depth to Undisputed. I'm not saying that necessarily makes it better, but it certainly muddies the picture. It's kinda like in baseball the debate between whether a big power hitter is more valuable than a high average/on base hitter who can steal bases and is great defensively. There's no easy answer for that.

Ended up getting the game. I played 5 online matches. Game was playable but could be better.

The first match i lost, he threw alot of kicks.
Second match he just nailed the buttons, i was able to him to submit very quickly. The third match nothing but head kicks, i was able to get him, still taking a bad beating. The next match, he hit me with one head kick and the match was over like 10seconds into it. My last match was the best, it went 3 rounds and i was able to get him to submit, he still threw around 80 punches when i only throw like 30.

Couple things every time i would go for a take down, he would instantly try to submit me. If i rotate the stick it puts me a better position right? I had a tuff time trying to jab my way in, it is just very hard. I have to turn on the stamima bars. (im sure everyone does)
The menus are very slow.

It sure was here. 5 stores that sell games and all are sold out on 360 and 4/5 on PS3. All the rentals are gone too.

man, both my wrists / hands / forearms are sore from this game. This game is going to give me Carpal Tunnel !!! "just one more match" is what I say to myself over and over.

The show is great but it bores me to death. It just is the same thing every year with little improvements. It is the Madden of baseball(but better than madden of course).
