But even if blocking low doesn't actually check the kick, it should prevent the little stun, right? Allowing you to immediately counter?

I'm not certain, but I just can't imagine that blocking low would be ineffective against leg kicks even if your fighting doesn't physically raise his leg to check the kick.

If you all thought their wouldn't be things that are exploited you are wrong and IMO clinches and leg kicks are the two of the worst.

Actually the game is a lot of fun..But like all online games people find ways to screw the system and sadly they have a head start on all of you guys.

Chuck's first leg kick goes unblocked, Shogun's hands drop and he's stunned for a split sec, allowing Chuck to get off first after the kick.

Seconds later Chuck tries another but Shogun's blocking low. Shogun doesn't get stunned at all and is able to get off first with a body kick.

If you want more proof, 51 seconds into the video Chuck does the same lunging inside leg kick that stunned Shogun the first time, but this time Shogun is blocking low and his hands don't drop and he doesn't get stunned at all.

Is it possible maybe you haven't mastered the game after a day? That there may be, in fact, more for you to learn about the game?

DO legs kicks actually cause lack of movement and damage now? in the demo u can chop away all day, and they dont drop the person or seem to slow their movement.

damn dude, 98 online games in one day..

A lot of times the intro takes longer than the fight, I think I had 30 fights in an hour at one point and with intros off it's non stop fighting so it's not that bad..But yeah I put a good 10 hours into it yesterday.

My brother and I have played about 30 exhibition fights, pretty even overall.

You can tell the difference between a highly skilled fighter and a second tier fighter. I am about to start a career to see how that goes.

My brother and I played the demo relentlessly, so we are pretty used to the game. We had more fights go the distance than not when using evenly matched fighters.

As for the leg kicks Darkleaf was talking about, you willl need to learn to play defense and timing when you shoot for a takedown or someone decent at the game will pound you with brawl and sprawl.

Anybody with the game care to post a short video of Anderson Silva's signature high kick that he has? I've saw his signature flying knee but interested to see what his kick looks like.

I'm not so sure about the leg kick thing either. In the demo, if you throw a lot of leg kicks at the cpu it will begin to block low, and the kicks won't have as much of an effect.

Could be wrong. Going to go test this now.

Yes. CPU will check leg kicks regularly by blocking low.

Those without the game can test it in the demo. Play against Chuck on expert (he won't go for takedowns) and repeatedly throw leg kicks at him. You'll see the difference between ones that are blocked and ones that aren't.
