Re: Official UFC 09 Undisputed Career progression thread

Well I finished my career. I think I was 32-0, maybe 31-0 or 33-0, but somewhere around there, I don't remember.

Ended up getting into the hall of fame, and you get a little award type thing during your last fight. It was fun. I actually had some trouble - I had to fight Sean Sherk and I don't know why, but he gives me problems; he's actually tough on the ground with reversals and stuff.

I practiced for about an hour last night and started to get my moves down better. Took my fighter into the octogon with his 0-2 record and try two takedowns, get a few kicks in and boom!!! I go down again KO'd 1:57 into round one, I am now 0-3 if I lose again I will retire this fighter and start over with a light heavyweight.

I am on fire! I went from 0-3 and thinking of retiring my fighter and went on an eight match winning streak. I own the 2nd round with 6 of my 8 wins coming by TKO in round 2. My toughest match was against Mark Coleman. 8-3 now.

Re: Official UFC 09 Undisputed Career progression thread

Ended up finishing my first CAF career yesterday on advanced. My guy finished with a career record of 24-13. Respectable. I never did win the middleweight title. I finally got a shot in year 6, but Anderson Silva's clinch was too much. I beat Rich Franklin after that, and got another title shot, but lost in 1st round from a flying Silva knee. Never got another title shot.

I still feel good about my guy, he had a good career. His ovr at retirement was an 87. Respectable. He's got a 92 in submissions, 89 in GGD and 85 in GGO. 85 in standing kicks. Of my 24 wins in career, 14 were submissions. Debuted him online last night and had a 96 ovr CAF submitted before he pulled the plug. Oh well.

My career was fun but I'm going to create another fighter and go at it again. Probably this time at light heavyweight. My first CAF looked like me and was my real height and weight. I think this time I'll create my cousin.

Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere, I didn't see but for those getting ready to start their 2nd, 3rd or 4th career if you create the fighter first using the non-career create a fighter you can apply all the patches you've unlocked to the shorts and then load the new fighter at the start new career screen. You can't re-add if you remove any, but you can keep what you put on and you will keep the cred reward. This way you don't have to constantly edit your shorts and you don't have to wait years into your career to wear something non generic looking.

Is there any specific way to unlock Tapout, Sprawl and Warrior Wear? I completed a career already, winning the belt in my second to last fight, but I never unlocked those sponsors. I want to start a new career to unlock them, but is there a certain fighting style I have to use to unlock them?

Re: Official UFC 09 Undisputed Career progression thread

I finished my light weight career.

                    27 wins, 10 losses, 0 draws
                    21 wins by (t)KO
                    6 wins by decision
                    0 wins by submission
                    1 loss by (t)KO
                    5 losses by decision
                    4 losses by submission

                    One-time UFC Light Weight Champion
3 wins, 1 loss in title bouts (2 wins, 1 loss defending)

                    Finished a 91 overall.

He beat B.J. Penn for the title, defended it twice, then lost to Penn by submission in a rematch in the second to last fight of his career. In the last fight, I didn't get a chance to go for the title again, so I just chose to fight Sean Sherk since he hadn't yet.

                      Doing a Welterweight Career now.

Decided to go a different route - Kickboxing and Wrestling, and primarily focusing on the stand up.

I'm now 7-2 with a flash KO loss to Anthony Johnson, and a kneebar by Lytle. I decided to try to see how I can do in the stand up game, since my last career was pretty much all ground game. I'm almost maxed out on Kickboxing, and in sparring, I'm mostly working on stand up skills, and skills to defend myself from being taken down or submitted. I plan on standing toe to toe with everyone, and see how I fair.

I did it, but I have no idea how. I didn't really change up my trunks until the end of my career and by that point I had them all unlocked. I rock half black/ half red Warrior trunks. I have the logos of all 4 of the camps I trained with on there (except Boot camp), I have "One More Round" written on the side, and the "A1" (And 1 basketball) logo on the back (because my first and middle initials are "A" and my favorite number is "1". I also have the grey Half-HeadBlade logo on my back leg.

I think it's a specific amount of Cred; or I assume it is.

I've got it too - just unlocked when I hit a certain cred level.

Anyway - just won the Welterweight Belt from Thiago Alves in my career. 3rd Round KO via Head Kick. My guy is a crazy kick boxer right now, just KO'ing people left and right. KO'd GSP my last fight to earn the title shot (he was ranked #4 in my career).

I'm now 15-2-0 and I'm just going to defend against whoever is the #2 ranked fighter from now on, unless it's the same guy twice in a row.

I was doing that. I had some times when i couldnt even fight the number 2 guy. Had to choose between 3,4,5.
