That's not what I said,
I said SOME of the blame falls on them. For example, if Faber's hand heals correctly, I'm willing to be he changes little things about how he throws some particular punches. The entire point of this argument that has blown out of proportion is that Faber isn't some victim, he indeed broke his hand and technique (fist not clenched tightly for example) for that particular punch could have played a part, especially considering how intense the break was.
I'm also one of the people who think he was making it the focal point .... the pointing, and putting it in front of the camera, and posting the xray on his website - it's all excuse-esque imo.
All I was saying is that SOME of the blame regarding the break has to be put on Faber, rather than he's just some victim of random circumstance and would have dominated had he not been vicitimized by 'bad luck'. Give some credit to Brown for Beating him for the second time.
As far as boxing...I've read somewhere that boxing is harder on your hands simply because you can't actually squeeze your fist shut. I don't think breaking your hands in MMA is 'common' to the extent that 'most' guys will break their hands either - especailly to the extent Faber's broke...I've never seen a break that bad in mma, not even keith hackney in UFC2 lol.
