The crazy thing is, though, that it was Neer doing just enough to not get stood up. He was one throwing submission attempts, trying to sweep, etc. If he would have just held on and stalled, the fight would have been stood up a number of times. But because he was being the aggressive one, it gave the illusion of action on Pellegrino's part, so the ref let the fight stay down.

Oh well, on to something else. The further that last fight is behind me the better.

I still say fighters should be required to get 3 wins in the UFC before they're allowed to have a nickname. This is ridiculous.

Grove is trying to keep it standing up and Almeida is trying to take him down.

First round is Almeida's due to control.

I don't want to see Almeida anymore.

Good God, Almeida really seemed to do very little when he took Grove down but will end up winning the fight because he took him down so often, unfortunately he didnt do **** imo but Im not a judge.

Another 30-27. These judges are killing me. I didn't realize "effective laying on top of a guy" was one of the scoring criteria. I mean, a takedown is nice, but no one's ever won a fight with a takedown (well, except Mark Coleman against Shogun). Grove had the aggressiveness, the submission attempts, he defended a lot of takedown attempts, the more effective strikes on the feet, and probably the more effective strikes on the ground with his elbows from the bottom.

I'm not saying he should have necessarily won, but not even getting that last round because Almeida laid on top of him for a couple minutes? Ugh.

And I picked this fight for Hendricks to win by decision after three rounds from controlling the top position and avoiding submissions. Let's just say I hope I'm freaking wrong after those first two fights.

Edit: Ok, I wasn't hoping for that.

BS stoppage, but it didn't look like the ref had the best point of view... Those punches on the ground were barely even hitting him.

Hendricks looked like a mini-Arlovski when he won. He just needs the fangs.

That was a little quick on the stoppage, Hendricks wasn't even making contact on those hits on the ground. Amir started to get up.

They even looked to be glancing off the back of his head. Way early though.

Mirgliotta should leave reffing. How many F ups can one ref be responsible for before he is at least reprimanded or something? Jesus.

The stoppage was too early but this man has messed up before at least 3 times right? Or am I thinking of another ref?

That was an early stoppage, that was terrible. Half of those damn shots werent even connecting or were glancing shots that did very little damage, if any. Feel bad for Sadollah, he got screwed imo.

And the ones did land were hitting Amir in the back of the head.

Not a good night for refs and judges, in my opinion.
