Re: Fedor v. Rogers: Nov. 7 on CBS!

as far as Lesnar, he's fun to watch and is obviously a very talented athlete. He's a freak...but how many total MMA fights has he had? 3?

I keep hearing people saying how Fedor has to "prove himself" against Lesnar, and that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Fedor has obviously been "proving himself" for years moreso than anyone in the sport since Gracie. It seems to me that Lesnar is the one that has something to prove in MMA.

Ive heard folks saying that Lesnar will "expose" Fedor, and I dont understand that either. Fedor is the master at exposing weaknesses in fighters. No one has out-exposed Fedor as of yet, and I dont see Brock exposing him with all of 3 fights under his belt. Fedor has obviously exposed fighters with much more experience than Brock Lesnar.

btw, what does it say about the UFC heavyweight division that someone so inexperienced in MMA can just come in and win the belt before his 3rd fight?

anyway, as far as signing with the UFC, you might be right about that aholbert, but I would bet the UFC could have put on a Fedor v. Lesnar fight if they wanted to. If they really wanted to, there would have been some compromising, but UFC doesnt compromise. I dont know which side needs the other more...I guess neither side feels they really need the other.

What's it say about the NFL that Adrian Peterson could lead the league in rushing in his second year? What's it say about the NBA that LeBron could be first-team All-NBA after his third season?

Every once in a while incredible athletes come along in every sport and have uncommon success early on.

The only thing the UFC didn't compromise on was splitting the entire profits 50/50 for any show Fedor fought on. If that's enough to get labeled as "the UFC doesn't compromise", so be it, I suppose, but that seems like an incredible exaggeration.

It says nothing about the UFC. What it says is that Brock is a freak of a man who has such a phenomenal wrestling game that he can come in and completely smash up fighters far more experienced than him with just a few fights under his belt... That's what it says.
