    Re: UFC 108: Evans v. T Silva

The main card might not make you drool just looking at it but I think it can turn out to be a pretty exciting card.

    •Rashad Evans vs. Thiago Silva
    •Paul Daley vs. Dustin Hazelett
    •Joe Lauzon vs. Sam Stout
    •Jim Miller vs. Sean Sherk*
•Junior Dos Santos vs. Gilbert Yvel

Shad/Thiago should end in a knockout.
    Lauzon/Stout should be high energy.
Daley/Hazelett should end early by either a Daley KO or Hazelett sub
Dos Santos/Yvel should end in a knockout.
Miller/Sherk isn't official yet but would likely go to decision and be the least exciting of the 5 fights if it happens.

For everything that has happened to this card that's actually pretty decent.

Rumour has it that American Top Team light heavyweight and the man set to co-main event UFC 108 alongside Rashad Evans on January 2nd has suffered an ankle injury during training.

The news comes via Figure Four Weekly who also reveal the UFC are making it worth the Brazilian's time to remain a part of the already massively injury hit card. It must be noted that this is an unconfirmed report.

Wow. This might be the first UFC in a long time I pass on. Definately if Thiago is out of the fight. It is too bad because I really love Evans. I think there is a UFC curse going around.

Thiago's trainer posted on the underground forum that Thiago is fine and ready to go for the fight. I'm looking forward to watching this, I believe Rashad will be highly motivated looking for revenge for Jardine and Thiago always wants to bang so it'll be a good fight. Probably won't be the most technical fight ever but I'm sure it will be entertaining...Unless Rashad goes back to his wrestling.

Dos Santos by DQ when Yevl kicks Mazagatti upside the head and attempts a Hannibal Lecter-esqe face biting.

                        Miller by round 2 sub.

                        Stout by round 1 KO/TKO.

                        Daley by round 2 KO/TKO.

Evans by forefit when Silva gets injured on the way to the octogon.

Ok that's it for pre-lim predictions, now where's the main card? Anyone know what's on it? That's all I can find.

While not stacked with big names I still contend that this card will be exciting. Of course I could be wrong but on paper there shouldn't be many decisions. This is a Kenny Florian card and we all know that Kenny finishes fights.

Yeah, I watched some of the Countdown last night and although, I admit this card doesn't have many big names but, it sure has potential for some interesting fights.

I still don't know if it's worth getting on PPV though.

Dun,dun, dun, dun another one bites the dust...

A light heavyweight bout between Vladimir Matyushenko and Steve Cantwell has been pulled from Saturday's UFC 108 roster, confirmed Nevada State Athletic Commission Executive Director Keith Kizer via email on Wednesday.

Kizer said no reason was given for the bout's removal nor was he sure if the promotion's decision was final. Kizer said no replacement name has been submitted for either fighter.

The UFC countdown shows really do a good job of selling the PPV. I think UFC 108 looks terrible on paper but after watching the countdown, I might watch it on Sat night.

I'm debating whether I should drop money on Silva. His moneyline is currently at -180. I think he can pull off the upset over Evans.
