    You have a short memory.

You're not alone, though. Ever since Anderson's fight against Forrest, some people are acting like he can knock people out just by looking at them.

Anderson's biggest "weakness" is GSP's biggest strength, wrestling. It's certainly possible that Anderson knocks GSP out before GSP can get him down, but GSP is a lot faster than anyone Anderson has fought, so it wouldn't be easy to tag him. GSP has only been rocked once, and that was due to a hook to the back of the head.

I don't have a short memory at all; he took out a top wrestler in Dan Henderson via his own game by choking him out.

Hendo hasn't submitted anyone in his entire career and has never been known to have any jiu-jitsu, so I'm not sure how choking him out is beating him at 'his own game'.

And I'm not sure that Hendo fight really helps your cause. Anderson got taken down and controlled in the first. Which is exactly what GSP would be trying to do. And I doubt that Anderson submits GSP, because GSP is a legit black belt and hasn't been submitted in over five years despite the ridiculous level of competition.

So again, it'd be a question of whether or not Anderson can knock GSP out. And since the Forrest fight, some people have been acting like that's a foregone conclusion. But GSP is lightning quick, has an effective long game with his striking, and hasn't really been rocked in his entire career.

To put it another way, Anderson has shown more susceptibility to being out-wrestled than GSP has to being knocked out.

Rumor has it that Mir v. Carwin for the interim Heavyweight title is going to be scheduled for 111 too.

Man, I was hoping that it would be Mir vs. Valasquez (if Cain defeats Big Nog). IMO, Carwin needs another big win in the UFC to get that shot.

Carwin already was given a title shot. Its only fair that he gets the shot at the interim belt.

GSP doesn't wanna see The Spider. He'd be laid out on the canvas like many before him.

It's going to be a good striker that will give GSP the most problems. The best one that he's fought to this point is BJ Penn, a man he was bigger and stronger than. As nice is BJ is with his hands, Anderson is far more dangerous because he's dangerous with his punches, kicks, elbows, and knees. GSP's style is effective, but I don't see him laying on top of Anderson for 5 rounds and getting a win. He may be able to take him down, but whenever it's on the feet he's in a world of trouble. GSP has a decent stand up game, but he doesn't wanna trade blows with Anderson at all.

Re: Rumor: GSP v. Hardy - UFC 111 in Jersey

Silva vs GSP will be like GSP vs Penn, with GSP playing the role of BJ Penn. When two fighters are as skilled as they are size really does become a big issue. I know GSP is a big welterweight and can enter the cage at or around 190lbs but Silva cuts A LOT of weight to get to 185. He cuts when he fights at 205. Silva is bigger, longer, and quicker. Not a good matchup for GSP as much as I would LOVE to see it.

GSP vs Hardy is pointless. Hardy cant hold a candle to Thiago Alves so I have no idea why he gets to step into the cage with GSP. Never know what can happen in a fight but this is as close to already decided as it can get. They better have another big co-headliner to go along with this.

People said the same thing about Serra. I dont think that Hardy will beat him either but he earned a shot...so give it to him. Also it looks like Mir v. Carwin is your co-headliner.

I don't like Hardy, but he has some power and it might be interesting if he connects with a good shot.. It's better than seeing him fight John Fitch.

I am more excited for the Mir/Carwin fight. I agree about how nobody saw serra winning that fight (GSP didnt think that could happen either which attributed to that haha) and thats why i said anything could happen. I just see another dominate ground n pound performance from GSP to end this one. I didnt think swick had any business to step in with GSP either. It is just tough cause GSP is one of the few fighters in a world of their own on top of their division (with Penn and Silva being the others). Unless he keeps fighting the same people in rotation fights like these must take place which is why I understand. Maybe Hardy can pull a Serra and shake up the welterweight division a bit... if he does im sure you won't find Hughes cheering and clapping this time hahaha!!!

I'm excited to see Mir Vs. Carwin but I think it's a bad move overall by the UFC. First, I think Mir will win which means we will have Mir/Lesnar 3. I'm all fine with a third fight between these two but can we at least wait a LITTLE bit? Brock's next fight will be his 5th in the UFC, it makes no sense for 3 out of those 5 to be against Mir.

However, if Carwin wins, my whole rant is meaningless.

i dont give him a big chance of winning, but its a fight anything can happen right, just like when gsp lost to matt serra, one shot to the head, now you kno he's dead
