Re: UFC 114 - Rashad vs. Rampage

The only thing Forrest did to Rampage was leg kicks. It was a joke that he lost that fight because he was the one landing the better shots. Forrest really only did work on his legs and had a couple takedowns. Even after the fight Forrest said every punch Rampage threw hurt. This guy hits hard, harder than Rashad. But he also can take punches as well, when have you seen him get hit with 1 punch and get KOd? But Rashad got knocked out bad against Machida who doesnt have nearly the power Rampage does.

i think standing up they balance each other out, rampage (obviously) has more power and the advantage on the inside, whereas rashad (as mentioned earlier) is quicker and will be more successful moving in and out. its just gonna come down to who can dictate where the fight takes place and IMHO thats rampage. everyone talks about rashads wrestling but hes not on the level of a dan henderson and look at how that fight turned out. rashad doesnt have the chin hendo does so i dont see this ending any other way than a rampage knockout.

I think Forrest lost that fight too, but he did expose Rampage's stand up a bit. If you're looking to stand in the pocket and bang with while he's throwing those rolling hooks then yes, Rampage is extremely dangerous. But if you take the same approach as Jardine and Griffin did, which is get in, mix it up, get off first, then get out Rampage isn't nearly as effective. Rampage is just as susceptible to a KO as anyone else, He got rocked in the Jardine fight by one of the most subtle and sloppy looking uppercuts you'll ever see. These guys are only wearing five ounce gloves.

Rashad hasn't been 1 punch KO'd either, Machida didn't one punch KO him. Hardly anyone gets KO'd by one punch. Machida hits hard, he doesn't throw nearly as many power shots as Rampage, but that doesn't mean his punches don't pack a lot of heat. I'll take Machida's fast accurate strikes over Rampages wild looping punches any day because again, these guys are only wearing five ounce gloves.

Rampage throws mostly power punches but the fact of the matter is is that he still has to connect with them, this isn't UFC the video game where two guys trade punches until one of them falls.

I can't believe it's almost here. I've waited so long.

I fully expect Rampage or Rashad to pull out an hour before the fight.

Man, that was pretty cool to see Machida getting some tips from Mo on takedowns. And, Aldo was cracking me up getting his neck inside the chain, lol.

I'd love to see Mo in the UFC in the next year.

All Jose Aldo did to Urijah Faber was land leg kicks.

Yeah, and Urijah better be glad that that's "all he did".

Re: UFC 114 - Rashad vs. Rampage

                      Prediction time.
My 113 predictions were awful,3-4 I think and 2 of the 3 were undercard.
My Strikeforce ones were all right winner wise.

Hathaway by split decision, will be fight of the night, very possible UFC fight of the year so far.
Lil' Nog by however he darn well pleases.
Duffee by 1st round KO/TKO,will be knockout of the night.
Bisping by 29-28 unamious decision in a not so exciting fight.
Rampage/Rashad is too tough to call. If Rashad has head in it I fully expect a 30-27 unamious decision but if he really dislikes Rampage that much and tries to stand up with him and KO him out of spite then he'll probably be doin' "the stanky leg" again.

Though as I said earlier I'm hoping Rashad wins. I'd like to see him against Shogun instead of Rampage again. That and from what happend on TUF. Not any of the trash talk or pranks but because he was a good coach and pretty stand up dude even trying to help out Rampage's guys when he wouldn't.

That looks photoshopped except I know it isn't

Can't wait to see how he looks after the lay off, and how his cardio looks.

Rashad seemed a little nervous or something when he was interviewed. I love that he was booed.
