Exactly. Enough is enough. All of the bowing and the praying and the "respect" that he shows before and after fights is out the window when you look at how he acts during them. He had the fight in the bag and decided to just hold the bag for three of the worst rounds I've ever seen a fighter have. I don't know how much more frustrating watching something could be...

Agreed. I don't like Mirgliotta that much as a ref, but I have to give him props for that.

Thats probably the best comparison Ive seen in terms of Silva, right on the money.

The UFC has been forever trying to feed a guy either good in BJJ or Wrestling to Silva with no success, unless you call Hendo's one round of dominance before gassing out and getting beaten up successful. I do like Sonnen's chances merely because he has amazing cardio and is a world class wrestler who can take a punch. If Sonnen cant beat him then might as well give him Belfort, maybe another striker will force Anderson to finally stay active for an entire fight and look to finish. Its no coincidence that the only real striker hes fought, Franklin, is the only time hes actually done anything other then counter punch all day. Im not counting Cote since obviously he was injured and I dont think Silva really took him seriously in the least bit.

Rogan mentioned that Dana got up after the 4th round and went to talk to Silva's manager. I'm sure that conversation went well

Dana will no doubt call out Anderson for this performance. I wouldn't be surprised if Dana just moves Anderson to the LHW Division and puts him in the cage against either Rampage or Evans by the end of the year.

            I don't get it.

Does he want to piss off Dana? Does he want to piss off the fans? It almost seems like it.
Sounds like another boring Anderson Silva fight. I'll never spend another dime on a card with this guy headlining. I can't believe Penn actually lost though. I wonder what his lame excuse was this time around.

Well I really dont wanna go back down this road again, especially with you DTX as I completely respect your opinion on things but if you havent seen the fight then you should check it out. Penn hasnt made any excuses but at the same time he didnt conduct an interview in the cage post fight either. I will say, as others pointed out during the fight, that something wasnt right with him. His left knee was wrapped, he wasnt pushing the action, didnt attempt a single takedown the entire fight and basically spent 5 rounds counter punching Edgar while allowing Frankie to be the aggressor the entire time. Lastly, I think Penn lacked energy this fight and I think part of that is due to the insane heat and humidity there. This was an outdoor fight with average temps this time of the year being over 100, Frankie doesnt cut and Penn does so the heat and whatnot didnt help.

To be perfectly clear however, at the end of the day, Penn lost this fight and Frankie put in a great performance. No questions asked that Edgar outworked Penn and won this fight fair and square.

Side question, anyone else notice that they never bothered to read the scores for the fight? I think thats the first time Ive ever seen a fight go to the cards and they never actually read the scores and just announced the winner. MMAweekly.com scored it 49-48 Silva, which I completely agree with, but Im curious to see what the official judges had it scored just to see how far off base they were.

Well that was interesting. A kickboxing match between two washed up grapplers, BJ Penn not even bothering to use strategy and Anderson Silva...lol...dude is a tease. Effortlessly destroys a guy for 2 rounds then completely quits.

I didn't watch the fight so I wouldn't know what happened. But it seems like he has an excuse every time he loses. Not trying to start something, that's just how it is with Penn in my eyes.

This is why I hate, I hate Anderson Silva. He has too much reach for this division and way too much input on his opponents! I say they lock his a## in the cage with Jon "Bones" Jones and let him prove his so called greatness! If they would have gave him Chael Sonnen it would have been a bit of a difference, but again reach would have been the story. GSP is awesome ,but I do believe GSP would get destroyed by Silva's reach and accuracy. I say we give him to Jones!

I love Jones, but Jonny Bones ain't ready for Silva.

It wasn't some fluke KO either. It was a smaller guy outboxing Penn. Shocking to say the least.

Who do you guys think Edgar defends against?

I don't know, but he probably loses. I wasn't very impressed - he was busier and out-pointed penn. He didn't do any damage...some of penn's punches did, but in the end, Penn failed to adjust in the 3rd 4rth and 5th...I thought penn got the 1st two rounds.
