Pretty entertaining press conference so far. Kinda nice to see that Chael wasnt being fake leading up to the fight, he really has this weird monotone voice and continues to try and entertain the crowd I suppose.

EDIT- Kinda surprised that Sonnen hasnt questioned Silva's rib injury yet.

Alves is basically screwed. He's too big to fight where he is now but if he moves up he'll be so small in that division. You see how easily guys pick him up and slam him down now, imagine him fighting bigger guys. Hes stuck in the middle so its going to be interesting to see what he does now.

Who "easily" picks up and slams Alves?

GSP and Fitch?

Fitch is no small WW himself, and GSP is a good sized WW. Not like Matt Serra picks up Alves and slams him to the ground.

He just doesn't have the physical attributes for 185.. his height (5'8) and his reach would cause him to be terrible at 185. He needs a legitimate diet to keep his walking weight within reason so he could actually cut to 170 without killing himself.

Post-fight press conference is over now. I guess I'll give Chael credit for accepting the loss and all. Still not a fan though.

When he made that joke about doing TUF with Anderson, it actually sounds like a good idea to me. If only Anderson wanted to speak English. I think he can but just doesn't bother to. He didn't seem to have too hard a time speaking English at the end of his interview with Joe Rogan after the fight.

But man, what a card tonight. I was very hyped for Silva/Sonnen but pretty much every other fight was great as well. And Silva/Sonnen provided what I think is going to go down as one of my better sports memories. That finish was nuts. I thought Anderson was done once Chael had him on his back in the 5th round but then somehow Anderson pulled it out with that triangle. Thank god there was no controversy at the end about Chael tapping or not tapping because that would've been a mess.

I believe Silva was hurt. Guys tend not to lie when they talk about doctor's recommended.

Really? Have you ever heard of Tito Ortiz?

To further support Silva's claim, Sonnen said at they end of the press conference that he believes Anderson "wasn't feeling well" because he expected more "resistance" from Silva than he actually got.
