just saw Fedor lost wow. I'm pretty happy about that because i got sick of hearing how he's the #1 fighter in the world when he's fighting lesser talent. So long Fedor.

      Re: Strikeforce - Fedor v. Werdum - June 26

I was shocked, but I'm with others that it doesn't mean he's not great and doesn't mean he's washed up. I really believe he'd win the rematch and even possible dismantle overeem (who is crazy overrated)

Dana shouldn't be doing stupid twitter stuff like that...I have no idea why he's insulted Fedor so much over the years. I'd still like him in the UFC, but Dana is just ruining that chance by acting this way.

I do think Fedor is at his best against bigger guys...he's a smaller heavy to begin with and the past couple of years I see him as david vs goliath type deal.

Anyway, this loss as crazy shocking as it was is flat out being blown way out of proportion. It's his first real loss...can we give someone the benefit of the doubt who's only really lost once?? answer: yes.

This coming from a non-Fedor "fan" I like him, but he's not my favourite or anything. Let's be a little real about this. It's the whole reason they actually fight, because anyone has a chance at winning.

This is the only fight tonight I was able to see...looking forward to watching the rest I hope there were some good ones.

Past his prime? Really? That was just one fight. If he continues to lose, then you can say he's past his prime.

Fedor is still a legit fighter, a great fighter at that, but he isnt better then all the HW in the UFC. I would take Brock and Carwin easily and probably take JDS and Cain as well.

Part of me hates to see Fedor lose but at the same time its almost nice to see the mighty fall as well. I've grown tired of the entire "Fedor is the GOAT" talk but with the way he lost I doubt it stops anyways. Fedor got caught in that once in a lifetime situation, he thought he caught Werdum and went in to finish, it was a mis-calculation on his part and because it was early before any sweat had accumulated Werdum was able to sink in the choke and hold it there to finish the fight. If these guys fight 10 times Werdum wins once, Fedor is clearly the better fighter imo.

Strikeforce has really had some bad luck lately. They bring in Hendo to take the title from Shields and that went south. They try and bring in Arlovski to challenge for the belt and that went south. They try and build up Big Foot only to have him get popped for steroids and now Fedor loses with only one fight left on his contract. Do they have a rematch with Werdum and have that be his last fight possibly? Do they hold him back to fight the winner of Werdum/Overeem with the chance that he wins the title in his last fight and then doesnt resign? It will be interesting to see where they go from here.

Cyborg's fight with Finney was pretty crazy I couldn't believe how much punishment she took from Cyborg before the fight was stopped. The Chung Le Smith fight was a good one. And the main event was surprising cause I thought Fedor would be able get out of that submission early.

Looking forward to there next event on Showtime.

Fedor's mistake was going after Berdum once Berdum hit the ground. Berdum's Ground Game is no joke as we all saw. If you look @ it again, it almost look like Berdum baited Fedor as the punch that put Berdum down look suspect IMO.

Even the BEST lose @ some point & yesterday it was Fedor's turn. It's gonna be interesting to see who Fedor fights next as it possibly could be his last fight with StrikeForce

I knew he would loose eventually. Always thought he was over rated. Too bad the HW division is so weak other than 3 or 4 guys.

You're out of your mind if you think those guys are better than Fedor in this point in time.

                    Especially Carwin.

Like I said, I'm a Fedor fan but he just didn't look that good his past two fights and that's a fact. I do think his best years are behind him, doesn't mean I think he's a bum now, but I don't know. Who knows, this may light a new fire in Fedor and cause him to come back with a vengeance.

I also love how people challenge Fedors standing in history and his opponents, and then want to bring up Brock Lesnar. Brock Lesnar is 4-1, that's it, and lets look at who he's fought:

                      W Frank Mir 13 - 5 - 0 (decent, but somewhat overrated fighter)
W Randy Couture 18 - 10 - 0 (an MMA Legend who was WAY past his prime when he fought Brock)
W Heath Herring 28 -14 - 0 (a big guy who has lost to almost all of the decent fighters he has fought)
                      L Frank Mir 13 - 5 - 0 (decent, but very overrated fighter)
                      W Min Soo Kim 3 - 7 - 0 (straight bum)

I think Brock is super-talented, but I don't see how people can challenge Fedors opponents and then bring up Brock Lesnar like Brock has fought the cream-of-the-crop competition. I do think Brock has the ability to one of, if not THE best in the Heavyweight division, but lets see him fight more than 5 fights and lets see him against guys like JDS, Carwin, Velasquez, etc... before we can see if he really is as dominant as some think he is/can be.

I dont think so. And we'll never know because Fedor will never sign with the UFC.

Dana really doesnt give a **** anymore. 1) Fedor has never proven he is a draw in the US (His Affliction PPV numbers were pathetic) so its not like he is missing out on huge PPVs without Fedor. 2) The UFC offered him a sweetheart deal a year ago and he turned it down. He continues to demand copromotion which will never happen. The only leverage Fedor had was that he was undefeated.....and thats gone now.

If that's the case then why does Dana continue to pull childish crap like this: http://www.sherdog.com/news/news/M-1...sorships-25329 and put smileys on his Twitter page when Fedor loses? If Dana doesn't care anymore, then why not just leave everything to do with Fedor alone and move on with life? Seems to me like Dana is acting like a jilted lover that can't get over being rejected and that he cares a lot more than you think.

I feel that Fedor is somewhat on the decline, but as I said earlier, this may light a fire under him that causes Fedor to come back stronger, or maybe not....only time will tell.
