Cote I understand, but I don't understand why Gonzaga was let go. He lost 2 in a row, but neither were bad losses to guys like JDS and Schaub. It's not like the UFC's heavyweight division is that deep either. He would have fit in as a nice gatekeeper.

He was making too much. I think he made close to 100k for the last fight and after getting crushed by Carwin, Brendan and JDS, they couldnt justify paying him that amount anymore.

Gonzaga has looked gun shy lately too. Nothing like the guy who got the title shot.

Brock really needs a new camp. It's like he hasn't sparred with any one using Muay Thai. Once Cain collared him, Brock didn't even put up any defense at all for that knee. Almost as if it never occured to him that a knee was coming.

The all offense strategy will only take you so far.

Wasn't Pat Barry in his camp? You'd think those two would've sparred against each other a bit and Barry has a kickboxing background.

Brock will never go to a real camp. Hopefully he rebounds after the lost cause he is the biggest UFC draw.

You can see how a UFC or Boxer whose margin of victory is so slim will do everything and anything to abuse the rules.
