I had it 47-47. With edgar winning 2-4-5

Re: UFC 125: Revolution - Edgar vs. Maynard-1/1/11
I had it like this:
10-8 maynard
10-9 edgar
10-9 edgar
10-9 edgar
10-10 (both)
so that's edgar slightly edging it out.
I could see a draw though too in the last maybe going to maynard, but that's tough.
I was going for maynard btw.
what do you guys think if championship fights were unable to draw and they did the ol' lets go one more round?
I'd like a rematch too.
forgot to add that if this was boxing I'd want a 10-7 round...IDK if I would want that in mma though given the less total number of rounds. Frankie had the balls of a lion and the heart of a champion i must say.
yet another edit; 10-10 has to be an option imo as well. if the difference is one jab or something pfff ...nobody decidedly won the round.Last edited by allBthere; 01-02-2011, 12:43 AM.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

Re: UFC 125: Revolution - Edgar vs. Maynard-1/1/11
Edgar has incredible heart and desire to win. I thought it was a draw. Gray won Rd. 1 (obviously, 10-8), and Rd. 3. Edgar won Rd. 2, 4, and 5.
I would have Pettis / George Sotiropolous after George is done dismantling Siver, and then you rematch Maynard / Edgar again.
You can't just kick Gray to the side and have him wait.Comment

Dana seriously needs to get some judges with better...judgement.
Or at least give Joe Rogan the final vote if a 'ship comes to a draw. He actually gets a better view than the judges.Comment

Frankie has a lion heart that's for damn sure.Comment

You'd be kicking Pettis to the side and having him wait, though, when he earned his #1 contenders spot in the match against Henderson. It's not like he's just the 'next' guy...the Henderson/Pettis fight was for a shot at the title.Comment

I don't agree that you fault Maynard for not finishing Edgar. Tons of guys would have been stopped there. Have to credit Frankie for defending himself that entire time.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

I understand what you are saying. But, it's just when you have someone stumbling around for that long, you have to find a way to be more precise with your strikes and finish.Comment

Re: UFC 125: Revolution - Edgar vs. Maynard-1/1/11
I think you have to give the immediate rematch to Gray. His resume, along with Sotiropolous and Jim Miller is much more impressive than Pettis.
Also I could see people scoring it 48-47 Edgar if you give round 3 10-10 which I've seen a few people do, but I have no idea how that judge came up with 48-46.
And I understand Dana promised Pettis a shot, but he obviously wasn't expecting a draw to happen. We'll probably see what he decides at the press conference in a few minutes anyway.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment
