Did they split the win bonus or was there just not one?

Re: UFC 125: Revolution - Edgar vs. Maynard-1/1/11
Dana changed his mind. He announced on Fanhouse that Maynard is getting the next shot. Said he doesnt know what he will do with Pettis. He will probably push for Edgar and Maynard to get back in there by April/May. Probably will pay Pettis to sit out.Comment

Re: UFC 125: Revolution - Edgar vs. Maynard-1/1/11
My thoughts on last night:
The Edgar-Maynard fight was one of the closest fights I have seen in my 2.5 years of watching MMA. No matter what the outcome was, someone was going to be complaning.
With the title fiasco, I feel Pettis should get the next shot. To be the champion, you have to beat the champion. Maynard had his shot, and he did not do it. Give the next shot to Pettis, who has earned it, and Maynard gets the winner.

Yeah, I just read that. I guess Pettis sits out even longer while they sort this out. I dont believe guys should get immediate rematches unless it was a controversial decision, which this wasnt, so imo Maynard had his shot and didnt get the job done so Pettis should be allowed to fight Frankie to unify the WEC/UFC belts.Comment

I totally agree that Maynard should wait again and Pettis should get the next shot.PSN: ScoopBrady

Re: UFC 125: Revolution - Edgar vs. Maynard-1/1/11
Personally I thought that Frankie Edgar won the last 4 rounds. I think that Maynard had the takedown in round 3, but Edgar scrambled and got back to his feet quickly. Frankie's striking and movement were far superior to Gray's in rounds 2-5. Round 3 is the only round that's debateable. I thought Frankie clearly won 2, 4, and 5, while edging out round 3. Round 1 was 10-8 Maynard.
So I had it 48-46 Edgar, but I could se where it could be a 47-47 draw. I don't see how a judge could've gave Maynard 3 out of those rounds.
I don't think that Maynard deserves an immediate rematch. I don't think the decision was controversial. I don't think that Maynard got screwed. He didn't put him away in the 1st round when he had the chance to. Why should he get another chance?
I'm not ready for Edgar-Maynard 3 just yet. I was ready for Edgar-Pettis.Comment

Re: UFC 125: Revolution - Edgar vs. Maynard-1/1/11
At the end of the fifth, I had it scored 48-46 Edgar and told my friends that it was probably going to be a majority decision. I can see how one could go for 48-46 Maynard with the first, third and fifth rounds, but I feel that the fifth and the third were a tie, and the tie to me goes to the champion.
I want to see the belts unified before a rematch. As stated before, you have to beat the champ before you become the champ. Maynard didn't win, and I want to see Edgar take on another opponent before any rematch.Rangers - Cowboys - Aggies - Stars - Mavericks

I agree, I think Maynard had his shot. If anyone should be waiting it should be him. The only time I think there should be a immediate rematch is if the Champion loses in a close fight.
I'm also not really looking forward to a Edgar/Maynard fight later this year also. Seems it would have been the ultimate rematch though if Edgar had beat Pettis and Maynard had beat another contender then UFC coulda hyped the hell outta that.Comment

It's like night and day with Edgar. I mean I really didn't like this guy's style at all.. now all of a sudden his hand speed is Floyd Jr. status. WTF?
Maynard too in terms of how much of a fan I becameHe also played Lose My Mind for his entrance
I have to give it up to the main event, I thought it was going to be utter boredom but that was one of the best fights I've seen in the UFC in a long time. Especially it being a title fight
As far as the whole fiasco with who gets the shot next, would it be possible for Edgar/Pettis then just have Maynard fight the winner? Or does that not really make sense. Pettis shouldn't have to wait for all of the reasons already mentioned by everyone here.
Lastly, can we please get Brandon Vera out of the UFC. I have no idea how he keeps ending up on main cards and main events. WTF? He just gets his face broken every time out.Comment

They don't need to unify the belts with the WEC though. Carlos Condit and Steve Cantwell didn't get title shots when their division were folded into the UFC.
I like Pettis and all, and I know they promised the winner of his a fight a title shot, but he jumped over more deserving contenders like Sotiropolous, Miller, and Dunham.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

You should have seen my face when I heard "Lose My Mind". You could have given me a million guesses and I never would have thought that Maynard would use that as an intro. Great intro song imo.
I think the reason Dana is giving him the rematch is because Dana thought that Maynard won. Dana isnt upset at all with the draw and thought it was a reasonable decision but I think he said he and Maynard winning 1, 3 and 5.
Vera, Davis and Baroni seem like the most likely cuts from 125.Comment
