You know what, I don't even remember the Franklin/Griffin fight.....

It was co-main on UFC 126 I believe.
I think, and hope Forrest beats him again. He is always underrated.
I hope Jabuoin can win and keep his job in the UFC. He was doing great against Garza until the flying triangle

I always thought Forrest was overrated. Never understood the hype and love for him.

I never understood it either. I have always looked at Forrest as a solid fighter, but I would never see him as a potential reigning champ. I think the love and hype comes from him just being a humble and every day kind of guy. Just like Rich Franklin, another guy who I really don't see as a special fighter.

Now I can't deny some of his best wins, he has a pretty nice resume. It's one of those rare cases where I still don't see the big deal about him and his skill set.

I think if he can beat Rua again in Rua's home country, I would change my views about Forrest.

I think I agree w/ you almost every thing MMA. Rua being the recent former champion and and my favorite fighter, a win (again) for Griffin will change my mindset on him.

I'm not a Forrest fan, styles make fights and Forrest is matchup nightmare for Shogun.

As impressive as beating Machida is, that was a dream fight, atleast stylistically, for Shogun. There aren't many other top guys at lhw that will stand and have a kickboxing match.

Forrest is big and much more well rounded fighter than Shogun, so much like the Franklin fight he'll probably stand a little, then take him down and punish him with his top game and go to win a UD.

Shogun is a very talented fighter, but unless he improves his wrestling he'll quickly fall out of title contention.

pretty solid card from top to bottom, hopefully Okami can push Silva and give him a good fight.

Silva is the only guy I ever root for to just destroy his opponents.

So I read a foreign report that Joe Rogan isn't gonna be in Brazil. Is this true? That's gonna be weird.

Kenny Florian is taking his place. Kenny is good and he's replaced Rogan in the past. I worry though that Kenny is doing this so close to his fight against Aldo.

I'm just really looking forward to Rousimar Palhares ripping someone's leg off. He deserves to be on the main card.

He barely deserves to be on the Spike portion.

I don't think that should be a problem. It just sucks that Rogan won't be able to attend this.

Dumb question, but would Silva's DQ kick on Okami be legal in the UFC? I have always been under the assumption of yes, that's allowed in the UFC. I get hazy on the downed opponent, or the knees on the mat.

Also I can't wait to see if Sonnen will really be in Brazil or not. That can't be a safe situation for him if he truly goes.

It would still be illegal. Can't kick a person in the head if their knee is on the ground even if you are on the ground too.
