Well just fought Cowboy Cerrone using M. Guillard and he got me in an arm bar at the 3:15 mark in the 3rd and the fight was over

Back to back subs for me after 20 plus without somebody getting me. Back to the training tutorial/Strategy guide

Played against Palhares a few days ago and he was constantly going for and switching subs. BJJ fighters fight like BJJ fighters.

How's the AI aggressiveness?

The impressions and videos are making me rethink not buying it. I'll still probably hold out for a month as I need to start Batman AC and finish some other work up.

On the demo, Anderson Silva (middleweight) is fighting Jon Jones (light heavyweight). Is there more flexibility in fighting up or down a weight class, or is it only certain guys?

Its a good game money well spent in my opinion.Ufc 10 was bad but I put alot of hours into it. Any com vs. com vids you guys want me to upload or anything else?

Silva can fight at LHW because he's done it before. With the exception of GSP, there are no fighters in the game. who can fight in weight classes they have never competed at in real life

Yeah, but there's also guys who have fought at different weights in real life that aren't in multiple classes in the game. Kenny Florian comes to mind. He's fought in feather, light, welter, and middle in real life, but is only listed as lightweight and featherweight in the game.

Yeah, but there's also guys who have fought at different weights in real life that aren't in multiple classes in the game. Kenny Florian comes to mind. He's fought in feather, light, welter, and middle in real life, but is only listed as lightweight and featherweight in the game.

He only fought at MW in the Ultimate Fighter (same reason why you cant use Evans at HW). You could make an argument for WW but no one really remembers him as a WW.

Just had a split decision go my way using Rampage vs Machida.

29-28 Rampage
28-29 Machida
29-28 Rampage. I'm at ease now and the fight was close I might add.

Waiting on the PSVita is sure gonna be a lot easier with this game in hand for the next week.

Machida even gets robbed in the game.

Played the full game yesterday! I was hoping this game would finally be good, but DAMN it has blown my expectations out the water. It is FANTASTIC!! Even the CPU AI is great, they all fight differently which is huge. Plus the CPU does not feel cheap, it feels as if you are fighting a human. You never feel as if you are being cheated.

I fought these fights. All on Advanced difficulty with Sim stamina

Carlos Condit(me) vs Matt Hughes(CPU)

I went to work trying to keep the fight standing. I knew Matt would attempt the take down and work some GnP so I used light strikes to not over extend myself. I landed some excellent 1-2s and some sick leg kicks after certain combos. Matt was getting tag and started shooting for the take down over and over. I managed to stuff a couple early but as the first round wore on I was getting winded from throwing to many strikes and he finally got the take down at the end of the round. Round ended with Hughes dominating me on the ground.

At the start of the second round, Matt literally ran across the ring right at the start and clinched me before I had chance to get out my corner. He then pressed me against the cage and took me down. For the entire 2nd round I spent on my back defending big punches and attempting to get Matt off. He did massive damage to me this round Condits face was a bloody mess. I knew at this point we each had a round won, so the 3rd would decided it.

Start of the 3rd I attempted to use my first round strategy of staying at a distance and using strikes. For a good 1 min to 1:30 everything was looking good. I managed to rock Matt with a sweet little superman punch that I don't even know how to do, but I couldn't finish him. As I closed in for the kill he shot for the take down. This is where the match changed, he then again dominated me on the ground the rest of the match. I did manage to wiggle towards the cage and wall walk up one level but he pulled me back down. Round came to a end with Matt controlling the ground.

I lost on the score card 29-28, 29-28, 29-28. I take it I won first round then lost 2nd and 3rd. It was great to see Matt control the fight on the ground and have excellent GnP but struggled to finish the fight.

Next was

BJ Penn(me) vs Thiago Alves (CPU)

This fight I was expecting Alves to use his killer knees and leg kicks. I was surprised when I walked to the middle of the octagon and he shot for a take down right away. I then managed to get a reversal and end up on top. I then worked to side control and lastly to the mount. He spun and gave up his back and I instantly went for the rear naked choke. Man BJ's submission bar was huge compared to Alves and I thought for sure I had him. But he managed to escape with literally a thin line left right before it was locked in. He then manged to get back to his feet. Then all hell broke loose!!! His striking was unbelievable. Extremely fast and unpredictable I couldn't get his timing down. I managed to survive to the 2nd round but it was a roller coaster of a beating I took.

In the 2nd round it was more of the same. He was killing me in the striking. About mid way through he managed to hurt me with a counter that rocked me and put my back to the cage. With no where to go and hands held high I hoped to hold on. A big right hook landed and I crumbled next to the cage, he then jumped on top and landed 2 punches before the ref pulled him off.

It felt great to have the advantage on the ground but struggle against Alves dangerous striking.

MAN TOMORROW CAN'T GET HERE FAST ENOUGH!!!
