I just posted about this issue because I know THQ doesnt come here often. The UFC 3 forum is **** but its the only place they actively respond. I suggest going over there and let THQ know about this issue.

What baffles me is that Anderson Silva, one of the greatest COUNTER-STRIKERS OF ALL TIME is on the COVER of this game, and yet not even HE uses that as a strategy. He just comes forward non-stop like everyone else.

Yep, the CPU is still extra agressive. Same as last year. The only difference between the counter punchers and the brawlers is that the counter punchers are a little more patient to strike and much better defensively. Very disappointed that CPU is more varied.

With that said, people who were expecting a sim were bound to be disappointed. Through 2 versions of this game, THQ has made it clear that they are only interested in tuning this game for online play. In 2009 and 2010, the majority of the tweaks made by the patch was to adjust online play. They can care less about offline players.

Still from playing the Alpha and the demo, I'm gonna buy it. I made 2010 work for almost 2 yrs by using house rules and playing the hell out of event mode. I'll do the same this year.

If thats the case then dont even give us off line mode....Give us an online experience that will compete with the COD's...

If online is the main focus, why not implement leagues or even fight cards where guys can spectate like EA MMA has?

Something innovative will get a guy like me more interested in playing online.

If I wanted to play a slug fest (against AI) I'd go look for a random match online..

So, I assume there isn't any kind of roster turnover for career mode? CPU retirement replaced with new fighters. Kinda of a bummer to me if that isn't in Career.

I forgot all about that..I atleast hope they tuned it so that the top 10 fighters in each division are not the only fighters getting book this year.

Guys in the middle to deep positions on the ladder rarely got book in fight cards in the past games.

Surprised too. I don't know why he was being banned all of a sudden after providing us a slim peek into the 'unreleased' yet game. Is it because of the early game videos he posted or was it because he was a previously banned user?

I just hope the AI can be patched so a CPU vs CPU game will look really like an actual MMA fight we see on a live fight.
Despite all the negatives I've read around here and there, nothing can stop me from buying the game Feb 14. I'm still liking the demo and I'm sure still gonna love the game.

All I can say is that we you play against a person who knows how to play the game correctly, it looks so sweet. I watched the live stream earlier, none of them knew how to play except for one guy. However at the end he played against the senior designer and it looked sweet.

Yeah, that always drove me crazy as well. Might as well just play tournaments at that point.

So for the single player experience would you all recommend UFC 2009 for a varied AI experience (mainly exhibition mode), not into tedious career modes.

I say yes to this. Because it's not 100% terminator moving forward, you get a little running, some takedown obsessed etc. Having said that the votes' not in on UFC3 yet though. I can say with complete confidence that the AI is better in 09 though

IGN review is spot on. I have put about 12 hours into the game (not demo) and would give the game a grade of 8.5 on a 1-10 scale. UFC 3 & Pride FC 2 in one package for $60 its a deal. Although i paid $75 total with overnight shipping it was well worth the money. The A.I is not over aggressive like in the demo i think this was slightly tuned before release. Most fights go to decision (I only play Sim on ultimate < was bummed to see ultimate is locked from the start of career until you do one full successful career ).
