I say yes to this. Because it's not 100% terminator moving forward, you get a little running, some takedown obsessed etc. Having said that the votes' not in on UFC3 yet though. I can say with complete confidence that the AI is better in 09 though

I disagree with this the A.I is not aggressive as everyone is saying.

Can anyone tell me about the offline modes? Is there any kind of matchmaking, such as a create-an-event? Perhaps a custom tournament? I think that was in past games.

It looks like you can have title matches.

Modes : Progress : Fighter Usage/Stats/ ( from everything to how many wins and losses to how many punches kicks ect you have used in the game ) Pride Grand Prix Tournament : 4-8-16 fighters UFC Creat-a-Event UFC Tournament Title Mode Title Defend Mode Career Mode Create a Highlight Create a banner Create a logo Ultimate Fights mode In exhibition for pride you have 1-2-3 & 3 round title fight. In exhibition for ufc you have 1-2-3-4-5 & 5 round title fight and 5 round interim title fight. There is shop that has: 4 fights to unlock (Mark Coleman pride) (Dan Severn) (chuck liddell pride) (heath herring pride)... Over 195 clothes (generic hats/shirts/gi's ect).... Over 195 cut scenes (what your fight does when you enter the ring announced and walkout ect)...... Around 25 pride movies and 85+ ufc movies... 7 Taunts... I may be wrong on some of those numbers but this is going by what i remember. I would check but im in the middle of playing my career right now.

Gamerdude - Can you upload a video of a match against the CPU so we can judge if the AI aggressiveness is turned down?

I do not really want to make a video and go through uploading and everything. Is there anything else you guys want to know just ask. It also depends on who you fight. Gary Goodridge is not going to come out guns blazing in a 2 round pride fight on ultimate sim he did not throw very many punches. The way the ai is setup (at least for when you create your fighter) there is many different A.I you can choose from.

You really want me to take a picture and upload it to take my word on anything i say ? Get my camera put new batteries in take some pictures then find a upload site and upload them is all that necessary ?

Yeah it is to be honest. Damn near every modern cell phone has a camera on it. And it isn't hard to find an upload site, there are tons of them.

Thanks a lot for the heads up. I will pick up 09 and just stick with that until UFC 3 drops in price.

My cell does have a camera on it but no way to connect it to the computer or internet. You guys can take my word for it if you choose not to it does not affect me whatsoever. Any questions ask away. Also between rounds it has a thing where you can press a (skip) it says things like wait for a opening to come or you can press b (it will say what your doing wrong and open dialog box that explains whats your doing wrong and what you need to do.

"The A.I is not over aggressive like in the demo i think this was slightly tuned before release" ....I did not say it was "Fixed" i said it seems to be slightly tuned (plays different then the demo) and i have not played com vs. com in the demo or retail yet.No doubt that the game needs some patch work As for posting "proof" of the game to prevent hyping ect that i understand. At the end of the day im not some 15 year old kid on his computer trying to hype up a video game. I am just here to answer any questions you guys have. Also i noticed on my career it has me at 210 but when making my fighters body i had it at 230 ??? I am a heavyweight maybe a glitch that will need fixing or i overlooked something. "plus the reversal fest in ultimate and even still on lower settings" : I dont know about com vs com but when i play vs the computer its not a reversal fest. You do not just sit there and try and block his transitions you have to use feint transitions and mixing it up with punches ect.
