I'm not gonna jump to conclusions on this until we know the facts, but HO boy...

Chuck Liddell, Dan Severn, Heath Herring, and Mark Coleman are all in the shop for 3000 "Shop Points" each.

So you trying to say it is like the Dreamcast, PS2 UFC games, where there are fighters that you have to UNLOCK ? That blows because I remember on on Tapout and Sudden Impact there were like 10 to 12 fighters you had to UNLOCK.

Yeah they definitely got Chuck Lidell wrong. He is a counter puncher and to see him be aggressive just seems off. They need to better tune it, not EVERY fighter is aggressive. Plus Chuck isn't a ground and pound fighter either.

And finally, I really hope they patch those damn reverses. In real life you might see maybe 2 reverses in a round. But in the game you see around 10 or more per a round. And to reverse somebody who has full mount on you is highly unlikely in real life.

I also noticed they overdosed with that spinning back fist and spinning back elbow. Fighters in real life don't throw it over and over again in rapid succession like that either.

Other then those GLARING problems, the game looks very good, especially the sweat and commentary. Love hearing the corner man yelling telling you what to do and what you are doing wrong.

THQ needs to do a better job at separating the different styles of fighters. The way they have it now, everybody is highly aggressive and everybody is a ground and pound expert.

They all seem to have the same mindset, which is to try to KO you on the feet by throwing haymakers or to take you down and ground pound. That isn't realistic.

Do some fights with some BJJ experts and some muay thai experts to see if their play style differ.

Looking at these videos, everybody fights like a damn boxer and wrestler. Not seeing any attacks on the legs by the CPU, no muay thai clinches, no dirty boxing either. All I am seeing is them constantly coming forward throwing haymakers, and going for the double leg takedown for some ground and pound.

No strategy or game planning at all by the CPU, just plod forward and swing for the fences.

So yeah do some videos with Jose Aldo, Cerronne, Nate Diaz, Maia in it. I will be highly upset if they have every fighter in the game playing the same way AGAIN.

With no sliders, that's a pretty big disaster IMO.

Call me crazy, but I actually thought "simulation mode" would make the AI fight realistically instead of just making them tired while they mercilessly bombard you with strikes.

i thought so too. this game's "simulation mode" feels so "arcadey" in many ways. i was expecting the a.i. to fight realistically, i.e. fighters in the game should fight like their human counterparts. but now what happened here? at least give us sliders. calling the developers' attention to attend to this issue please.

Question about the game: Do you still have to go through season mode to get good attributes for created fighters or can you assign attribute points while you create fighter for exhipition use?

Based on the demo: I actually think UFC 3 is less rock'em sock'em robot fighting than 2010 was but no, it's not simulation as I was hoping. Still this feels like the best UFC game of the 09,10 and 3. Still sliders would be nice but I haven't seen those in any THQ's games.

One thing I noticed, how come Werdum is in 2010 game even though he wasn't with the UFC back then and he's not in the game now when he is in the UFC

And still they got Overeem in the game so it's not a timing issue. I wish he would be in DLC's but no. He's still one of the best heavyweights out there.

Just watching the Liddell vs Jones fight was enough to make me pass on this game. Liddell was just chasing around Jones throwing haymakers and going for TAKEDOWNS???? I love in the end Liddell was dominating and out wrestling Jones on the ground. So it begs the question have the developers ever even watched Liddell fight? That fight was like watching a game of Madden where the Packers run the ball every snap for 20 yards a play against the 49ers. None of it made sense.

I posted in the demo thread that the sim setting only applies to the stamina. It has no affect on the AI so its still a haymaker hook-a-thon. In one round of pride Jackson put up 119 punches in a round and still had 70% energy. Also what is up with the reversals? Going through the videos I saw lots of reversals from being mounted to being in your opponents guard. That is extremely rare, however it seems to happen all the time in this game. It would suck to work your way all the way to mount and then get completely reversed to your back. Not to many people in MMA have that skill set.

With that said, people who were expecting a sim were bound to be disappointed. Through 2 versions of this game, THQ has made it clear that they are only interested in tuning this game for online play. In 2009 and 2010, the majority of the tweaks made by the patch was to adjust online play. They can care less about offline players.

Still from playing the Alpha and the demo, I'm gonna buy it. I made 2010 work for almost 2 yrs by using house rules and playing the hell out of event mode. I'll do the same this year.

I will be honest I tried playing 2010 single player and it sucked so bad that I always stuck to online only with it. I am thinking UFC3 is going to be same way, while the career looks to be improved. I still think online is going to be the real highlight of UFC 3. USER vs USER is going to be sick I think!!!

By the way, bean anyway you can see if the online servers are open and record a match just to see how a online match goes?? I know when I got Fight Night Champions early the servers were up about 2 weeks before release and there was plenty of people trying it out.

I dont remember 2009 being that great AI wise either. With both games, I had to use house rules to make it decent.
