Yeah Fedor is a sambo fighter. Him and his brother are very damn good sambo fighters to be exact with a lot gold medals.

And in his MMA career, he has more submission victories then any other kind.

I'm currently 16-2 in my career. A former middle and Welterweight champion in WFA, my fighter is a Jiu Jitsu specialist with great skill in ground fighting and submission.

After winning my second title, I moves up to UFC and won my first fight easily by submission before I lost two in a row. One was a close decision and the other was a TKO when I almost had the fight won.

Since then I avenged my first defeat with an armbar, and defeated Paulo Thiago by TKO. I'm now taking a fight with Dong Hyun Kim on short notice (mostly because it's UFC 150).

Thats not what I'm saying. I'm saying you cant download an Ellenberger and automatically apply the points to the Fighter Share fighter. You have to take every Fighter Share fighter through career or add the boost to make him realistic.

I had a great moment in my career with Gomi last night..

I forgot who I was fighting.. I think it was Frankie Edgar.. and it was a back and forth match.. 3rd round comes... he swings.. I swing.. we both connect and both fall!!!

Fight is over.. but I don't know who the winner is.. Edgar is flat on his face, but Gomi slowly staggers to get up.. Winner by KO.. GOMI!!!

I was really tempted to take my cell and record a video of it.. but my girlfriend was already laughing at me for celebrating the way I did....

It looked amazing though.. and it really added to the suspense of the match since I didn't know who won!

The game saves just about every match you play from what I've seen so you can go back and find the highlight of it to record when she's not around.

Good stuff! I've fought over 50 matches between online and offline and have seen everything. 1st round KO's, 1st round subs, great decisions, Fitch decisions, comebacks, everything. Made me wonder if the double KO's were possible.

The great thing about this game, I don't see anything major that needs patched. I think the scoring by the judges can suck, but maybe that's the way they meant it.

I had a nice moment in a match yesterday. I was Diego Sanchez versus Chris Lyttle. I'd get him on the ground, then he'd put me in rubber guard and sweep me into full mount. At one point I panicked like a little girl and transitioned like 4 times in a row to get out of it. No dice, he swept me again. I was pissed, then was glad I couldn't transition spam. I ended up grinding out a decision.

What makes you guys choose between going for minor transition versus major transition versus modifier transition?

Not every fighter has a modifier transition, just like not every fighter has a transition reversal submission move either from certain positions. So it depends on who I am using.

Kind of weird but yesterday was the 1st day I didn't play this game at all.

Ya I'm loading it up less and less. Caf work around is nice, but still alot to do. Career mode was fun once, but 2nd time is kinda flat. A career mode as boss/universe mode would have been great fun.

Ok guys I figured out how to make BJJ guys dangerous off their backs. It isn't the grapple offense, it is the grapple defense. Therefore if you want somebody to have a really good dangerous guard, give them a lot of points in their grapple defense bottom rating.

How I figured it out ? Trial and error, messing around with the ratings and noticed when I gave a guy 95 GDB he was going for a hell of a lot of subs off his back.

So I guess we should look at submission moves as a defensive counter move and not an offensive move.

Grapple offense seems to be more of a how well they pass the guard or how well they get off their back. It sure as hell don't make them go for subs that is for sure.

When I think about it and looked at the strategy guide, it makes sense, since every fighter in the game that is dangerous off their back has a high GBD rating.

There is a reason for this, and it makes sense when you think about it. Grapple Offense is how well you advance on transitions. On top, passing guard, on bottom regaining guard. Grapple Defense is how well you deny transitions, and how well you reverse. Think about on simulation stamina, what does denying the other persons transitions do? It tires them out, when their stamina drops they are more susceptible to submissions.

I completely agree. Thats why I create my own Universe mode using Event mode and the UFC spreadsheet.

You don't have issues with the top fighters always dominating?

I dont do CPU v. CPU because those are unbalanced and I find that boring. If I wanted a true CPU v. CPU sim, I would just buy one of the text sim games that do a great job of simulating MMA.

I book fights and fight the CPU. I also follow the UFC's schedule so if it has an event, I set one up. That alone is the reason I was able to play 2009 and 2010 until the new versions came out.
