In career mode i noticed you can win pretty easily by leg kicks(stoppage). I made a lil personal rule for my career mode not to use too many leg kicks as they feel a lil over powered.

Are you doing power kicks? my guy only has 75 or so for kicks and it takes about 30 kicks to finish an opponents leg. maybe its different on other modes?

I landed 22 with ~80% of them being Power kicks for a TKO. My character has an 85 rating in kicks.

I've noticed that Goldberg does a real bad job of talking over the action. There were several significant shots landed that unless you were really watching you wouldn't know because Goldberg had to hear himself talk.

Do you need both gold and the online pass to be able to download fighters from fighter share?

im having a problem here. when i am offline or online and the computer or human is throwing strikes at me im holding the right bumper and accordingly move the right analog stick either up or down but its not blocking. because of this i am getting tko or ko any tips?

The right stick is used for countering when standing. Right bumper is to block high and right trigger is to block low.

Anyone encountered a glitch where there's no talking (commentary or refs) an the intros don't continue unless you skip them?

I'm 19 fights into my career and I'm an 81 overall so far... is that good progress or am I behind?

I am having defensive issues. I understand the defensive transitions, block, and take down defense.

I do well against the Cpu, but against people know matter who I fight or who I pick I can't get out of clinches, keep them down long enough to get into a dominant position, and get whooped regularly.

I am just not sure why I can't get out of clinches to avoid knees and how people grapple me from behind throw me down to my knees and pound the side of my face.

Any tips would be great.

Not a big fan of the career, although I love the videos with fighters talking. I wish they would still have a schedule and I like to see all of the previous events, not just the last one. The training drills are meh.

Issue that bugs me

You not close enough for the take down to push the guy into the cage, so you both just circle to his right back to the middle.

If you far enough away you push the guy back, if you close you push him into the cage. However if your in the middle area you just circle.

The more I play the more apparent it becomes that these guys have never seen an mma fight before.

Guys with no striking can move like anderson silva, having full mount reversed, getting butterflies on the bottom and transiton to side control. How often do you see fighters use butterflies to reverse position. The a.i just seems to cheat to win. I dont mind losing when I should lose, not because they land 3 punches to rock me and can just walk forward and dodge every punch and catch every kick.

The game is good but could be great

Just picked it up last night and I have to say, im impressed with the improvement from 10 to now. I.could feel the difference immediately. Just much more fluent overall. I am sad to hear they didnt improve the career mode though. Hopefully ill be able to put some more time in with it tonight.
