Submission tips time.

You want to get certain advantages in order to get a bigger bar. Ratings advantage is 1. Stamina advantage is another. if their gassed and you have full stamina, that can overcome a ratings disadvantage (weaker submission offense to stronger submission defense) Making the submission a punch catch. Applying a submission to a rocked fighter. Submission transition reversal, thats another big bar giver. Having a higher level sub, level 2 or 3.

Also by default your submission bar will start in the corner you started in. But you can hold the right stick in any direction to start the bar there. You can catch people off guard by moving the bar so it starts on them already overlapped.

Does anyone else have audio issues with the DLC? In some matches, there simply isn't any commentary at all when there's a DLC fighter in the match.

I've had this issue with the first pack and now after dl'ing Overeem.

Same here commentary and announcer goes mute every time stann or diaz are in a match but the rest are fine

for all my fellow PS3 gamers:

The new DLC pack - did you have to go download the new additions (I have the All Access/Season Pass thing), or did they just show up in-game? Haven't played in about a week 1/2...

is actually a bit too difficult for you, or one that you manage very well?

Just play player matches. Live opposition is the best way to keep your game sharp. I can beat the CPU on ultimate, but I would probably lose if I fought like that against a live opponent.

You have to download them.

I played with all 5 DLC fighters, and fortunately I've had no audio issues with any of them.

I am having problems with the Ultimate Fights DLC though. What the hell is the compilation pack and how do I get it?

im still not sure whats more fun for me, since i rarely have any chance against live oppenents i dont enjoy online matches too much. i usually can tell after 10 seconds that im totally chanceless and very well put the gamepad aside lol. Thats why im like playing offline. I often lose when fighting on Expert but still i can put up an exciting fight against the computer there, while online i usually find myself in a hopeless posistion already at the beginning of the first round no matter the skill level of the oponent. that way it just isnt fun.

Anyone else like working in side control versus full mount?

The more I play, the more I prefer that position.

If strong body punches interrupted transitions in mount, I would say no. but guys can transition through a body beating without blocking in mount so people only block the head, and transition when you go to the body. Side mount has heavy knees from that position that do interrupt transitions so that keeps people honest with their defense from that position, or the get their body destroyed.
