He looked like that during the intros to me. I don't think he thought he had a realistic chance to win.

Apparently it was this stunt at the weigh ins that pissed Dana White off and him giving CB Dolloway a nuggy during the fight pissed Dana off even more.

Even as a huge Mayhem fan, I can't blame Dana for this one. He may very well have been injured before the fight (hence the heavy knee wrap). He even showed some decent stand-up in the 1st and 2nd Round before being taken down. But injured or not his cardio still wasn't were it should have been and he should have came in focused and ready for business.

One would think that after being embarrassed like that in his return to the UFC that he would have stopped with all the shenanigans and looked at the bigger picture. However, I honestly don't think Mayhem is wired like that. I can't say that I'm not a little bit sad about it, but Dana did the right thing in this instance, in my opinion.

I didnt see the fight but someone told me that Millers knee kept buckling and that when he would rock Dolloway he was hobbling when trying to pursue him to follow up on it, if thats the case and his knee was completely gone then I dont think they should have cut him personally. Im not a Mayham fan but if his knee was gone then he deserves another shot as he looked in fantastic shape for this fight heading into it.

Re: UFC 146 May 26 Dos Santos vs. Mir

Yeah his knee buckled near the end of the 1st round when he tried to throw a kick and he went crashing down on his butt. Ever since that had happened, he couldn't really push off on that leg at all, nor did he ever throw a kick again.

So for the next 2 rounds, CB was able to take him down with ease because he basically only had 1 leg and CB laid and prayed on him for the rest of the entire fight. It was very boring because Mayhem couldn't get up but yet CB really wasn't doing anything either but laying there.

During certain times while they were on the ground Mayhem was just laying there with his hands down not defending himself as though he was saying ref please stand us up, he isn't doing anything but laying on top of me.

Because sure enough every time the fight was standing, Mayhem was tagging CB over and over again. Rocked him every round, then CB would run away, come back and grab the leg that was wrapped up and injured on Mayhem, drag him down and just lay on him.

Hands down, the worse fight ever I seen in quite a while. Because on 1 hand you had a guy who injured his knee in the 1st round and really fought with 1 leg, and on the other side you had a guy who couldn't stomp a mud hole in a guy fighting with 1 leg.

All that laying and praying he did for 2 1/2 rounds just to win, was BORING.

Now see, if thats the case then I dont think he should have been fired and if he was fired for the pink boombox and boa at the weigh ins then Dana needs to get his priorities straight as hes kept guys on the roster for actually committing crimes.

He was fired because he looked like crap in both fights and tried to get in a fight with Dollaway's corner.

I wouldn't be surprised if either instance is true. Dana's a strange bird sometimes.

It always amuses me when fighters on the bottom stop doing anything and look to the ref to stand up the fight. How about try and actually get up instead of relying on refs? I'm glad when they get held down for the entire round then. As much as people like to hate the guy on top for laying and doing nothing, no one ever seems to get on the guy on the bottoms case who is also doing nothing. If the guy on the bottom tries to get up or attempts submissions its going to force the guy on top to work.

Kenny Florian is great on the bottom normally with elbows. More people could utilize them.

Miller is one strange guy. He appeared on the MMA Hour today.

I hope we get to see JDS vs. Cain 2 in Toronto. We are less than 4 months away and there still haven't been any fights announced.

Yeah, he retired for now atleast. The backstage incident was apparently prior to his fight as he was wearing a gas mask under the paper sack in honor of the troops and as he was set to walk out they started yelling at him to take it off apparently. He is definitely a strange guy though but atleast its not what was initially being rumored about him destroying his warm up room after the fight.

Thats much better than the rumors. Still dont think Dana was wrong for cutting him. I'm interested in seeing how much he was paid for this fight. I dont think Mayhem is cheap when you factor in that he was signed to coach TUF, made plenty in Strikeforce/Dream and is one of the most high profile mma fighters. When a guy makes that much, you cant have him on prelim cards gassing after 1 round.

$45k to show and I'm assuming $45k if he would have won.
