$45k to show and I'm assuming $45k if he would have won.
Thanks RR. So he was the highest paid fighter on the undercard. Made more in base salary than anyone on the card except for the people fighting in the main event and co-main. I now have no problem with them cutting him.

The knee was a big reason he lost the fight but he also had ****ty cardio too. Watch the end of the first round when he was in his corner. He was breathing unbelievably hard.

As much as people like to hate the guy on top for laying and doing nothing, no one ever seems to get on the guy on the bottoms case who is also doing nothing. If the guy on the bottom tries to get up or attempts submissions its going to force the guy on top to work.
That'd be fine if it were actually reconized on a consistant basis. Unfortuantly more often than not the guy on top will still get the round even if it was the guy on bottom doing more damage/being more active so it's better to hope for a stand up.

Yeah that is true, most judges don't count submission attempts from the bottom at all. So you could do 15 of them from the bottom, you will still lose the round simply because you were on the bottom. Hell that happen to this one fighter about 4 or 5 months ago.

Some times you will even hear Joe Rogan complain about how they don't count sub attempts from the bottom like they should. Who ever on top is seen as the aggressor and get the points

Cain is out for up to 6 months.
If he is out that long, the rematch won't happen in Toronto.

He won't be. He just needs clearance for a doctor and an xray. I think Toronto maybe out though.

              LMAO

Varner is on Sherdog Radio right now and said he always knew he would get back into the UFC.

He said he told his trainer several months ago, the only guy I don't want to fight when I return to the UFC is Barboza. He said he specifically was telling people that he was the only guy he didn't wanna face first... he said he would have faced anyone even Frankie Edgar, then the UFC calls him and says.. you're facing Barboza

His story just keeps on getting more awesome

Edit: Varner has become a lot more likeable these days.. he's really humble now and well spoken. He praised Cowboy and said he doesn't deserve to fight him yet.

Interesting tidbit. Mir got a exemption for TRT in this fight.

Wow. It seems like the entire sport is doing TRT.

It is a shame too........If you have to take TRT, then you shouldn't be a fighter.

I don't get this line of thinking at all, if a guy needs TRT because he suffers from low testosterone but tests in what they consider a normal range for an adult man then where is the issue? If someone is abusing it like Overeem then it will come out but no point in bunching them all together and making a blanket statement like that imo.

I totally get what you're saying and I sort of agree with you and Aaron on this issue, but testosterone is just really touchy to me... I don't think you should be allowed to generate it synthetically like that... if you don't have enough of it, then oh well. I don't think it's comparable to other conditions either..

But like I said I do somewhat agree with you. Especially if they monitor the levels..

Ben Fowlkes wrote an article on TRT recently saying the testing process is flawed though. So they should look at that.

I guess I just fall on in the group that doesn't care about PED's in sports. If you get caught, tough ****, and you deserve to be suspended. Doesn't really change my opinion on who is using and who isn't though. It's the life of modern sports athletes. Pretty much all of them are going to be on some sort of supplemental cocktails, just some things are banned and some aren't.
