After looking at this gif I just realized Bellator and TNA are a match made in heaven. I totally forgot about this PPV, now I know why.

The sad thing is, the card wasn't bad at all. Tito's questionable victory and Rampage skill of being able to do nothing unless he can stand and throw hooks brought everything else down.

I thought about watching this. Looks like I made the right choice by sleeping.

Did you feel that Liz beat Miesha as well? Just curious

It felt kinda the same for me in both fights. I don't think spamming takedowns and grabbing the other guy wildly without doing a single thing offensively in the process should not be rewarded. I am all for offensive wrestling/grappling. I am all against lay and pray

The fight sucked, IMO, either way. Just my two cents .

Was Rampage always unable to stuff a takedown or has he just gotten lazy? Honest question. I haven't seen many of his Pride fights

That was the best I've seen him look on a while at stuffing takedowns. Usually it's only a matter of time before he gets taken down. He actually put up somewhat of a fight.

If Rampage would have landed anything I would have no problem with him winning. He didn't do **** to win round 3 though. He landed 2 punches the whole round and got taken down twice? No way he deserved the round.

                  Re: The Official Bellator Thread

When Will Brooks overcame 10-1 odds to defeat Michael Chandler Saturday night at Bellator 120, many thought that the biggest fight in Bellator - Alvarez vs. Chandler III was off the table. As the fight is the last on Alvarez's contract, it was presumed the fight would never happen.

Alvarez is currently Bellator's lightweight champion, and was supposed to have fought Saturday night, but withdrew with a concussion. Brooks won Bellator's Interim Lightweight champion, but will not necessarily get an immediate chance to fight Alvarez.

"Ed's contract specifies that Ed can demand a Chandler fight. So, it puts us in a very interesting position now," said Bellator founder and CEO Bjorn Rebney to MMAFighting, as transcribed by BloodyElbow.

"We're going to have to go to Ed. We're going to have to talk to him about it. We're going to have to see where his head is. He could conceptually demand a Michael Chandler fight even with Mike coming off of a loss to Will Brooks."
                  Surprise, surprise.

As a person that watches bellator regularly, I have to say that calling the entire company a joke is a bit absurd. As a matter of fact, based on quality fights alone, there are free bellator tv cards that surpass some ufc ppvs.

Reading some of the comments in this thread, I'm pretty much sure half the people commenting don't even watch bellator regularly, and just finished grazing on dana white's front lawn.

I watch every Bellator event. They are a joke. They act like their tournaments are actually special or something, then set up 4 man tournaments exclusively so a guy like Rampage or KingMo can get a title shot.
They say guys are injured (Vegh) so they can make up some nonsense interim title to try and give one of their stars (Mo) or say a tournament winner is injured (Pitbull) so they can gift a title shot to a guy in his hometown basically after he lost the belt clearly in the fight before because he is more marketable (Curran).

Every fight promotion has it's share of politics. I'm particularly talking about the quality of fights. Which in many cases is pretty good and even on par with some ufc events (if not more exciting). Don't get me wrong, the ufc has the best collection of fighters on the planet, but for some reason they fail to deliver quality events on a regular basis.

Yeah Bellator's fights are so exciting when they match up one of their good fighters with a scrub and they get a finish in the first round.
                              Finishes ≠ quality

I never said finishes=quality. Where did you get that from? Also, are you implying bellators a joke because upsets happen? If so, what does that say about the ufc and one fc? Do you consider them joke organizations as well? Shlemenko vs Ortiz doesn't discredit the years of solid events bellator has put on.
