Really disappointed in the card as a whole. Stoppage was weak. Seems like UFC fights are becoming plagued by controversy more often with each passing card. Hope to see Faber get another shot at some point coming off a good camp, he's a favorite of mine.

Anyone else think it's getting pretty old seeing Dana throw people under the bus when he's not happy with their performance...

I thought the stoppage was a little early, but I was fine with it. Faber was defending, but he wasn't doing anything to try and improve his position. I've seen Herb stop fights before in the same position where the guy is defending the blows to the head with his arms, but they are just laying face down not trying to move. You could make the argument that there should be more leeway in a title fight, but if Herb gave Faber another 4-5 seconds and he was still just laying in the same position covering up a stoppage would be warranted.

I can understand stopping if a guy is lying flat but he was turtled up with a single and aware enough to give Herb a sign that he was OK. No doubt Faber was hurt but I think Herb needed to be more aware before stopping it.

The only thing is, Barao was hitting Faber's arm the entire time. Not one punch landed to the head or neck.

It was also gamesmanship by Barao. Dean sees Barao look up at him like "He's finished. Are you going to stop the fight?".
