Zingano is slightly taller and looks stronger.

I think this is too soon for McMann personally. She might be able to stop the TD (remains to be seen) but she isn't a great striker in her own right.

Yeah. I know why they chose McMann (Olympian and Zingano/Davis are still injured) but this will be a grappling exhibition.

Yeah I understand why, but it still sucks because this is a relatively easy fight imo for Ronda. Sara might be a better wrestler but she isn't anywhere near the grappler and I doubt she has enough power to KO Ronda.

The only taller women in the division are:

            Jessamyn Duke 5'11

Didn't zingano spend a lot of time on her back in the first two rounds of her fight with Tate

Yep she did. Tate was really having her way with her until she gassed in the 3rd round.

I just watched McManns last two fights, her UD against Baszler and the TKO of Gaff.

If any of her other fights are worth watching let me know, I am trying to get a feel for what she's really all about at this point in her career.

From what I saw in those two fights, I dunno. Her stand-up isn't the worst thing I have seen, she at least seems pretty quick and throws the right hard. Not saying she is Nick Diaz or anything, but considering all Ronda has is an average right hand it's really not that hard to have the advantage standing up against her, IMO. The Gaff fight probably isn't the best indicator of anything, as Gaff just basically let herself get taken down right at the jump. It's cool to have a nice single/double at your disposal but Tate was a pretty good wrestler and Ronda's hip toss was obviously the more powerful weapon. I dunno though. McMann seems like a tough kid and also seems pretty smart. She does seem pretty strong and maybe she can do some real damage if she catches Rousey flush on the chin with her straight-right, but other than that I don't see how she would finish the fight. I don't see Rousey getting caught in a crucifix like Gaff. Maybe I am crazy it just seems like McMann is basically a version of Rousey with less big fight experience, comparable stand up (which isn't saying much) and traditional wrestling skills in place of judo.

I dunno though, I am wrong all the time. Just my impressions.

Cormier looked like he was pushing 240/245 this weekend. He launched a campaign a couple of months ago about losing the weight, but it doesn't seem like he has started on that yet. I'm sure he can do it, I just remember the story of when he was in pretty serious condition after a bad weight cut when he was competing on the Olympic team, so I'd assume that he wouldn't want to knock a lot of weight off in a short period. He still has a bit of time to get it together though.

I don't think Cormier will be an easy fight at all. Big fan of both guys, but I back Rashad against anyone. It will be interesting to see if this stays mostly on the feet.

I agree, I noticed that as well. He seemed a lot heavier than I expected to see at this point.

Cormier looks to have slimmed down well for this fight if the picture I saw today is any indication...
