    Re: UFC 200

WWE pretty much confirmed this as a one off. They said in there press release that he is going to do 200 and then he will back in WWE a month later working their Summerslam PPV. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if this is a talent trade where Brock works 200 and we see Rousey in a WWE next April at Wrestlemania.

I thought I read his contract is ending though, so 1 fight, he wins, does WWE, and then comes back later in the year.

Yeah his contract ends next year so it's possible he's fighting full time in 2017.

Can't think of who Brock is gonna be fighting. Most of the top HWs are already booked.

I wouldn't think that they'd give him a top heavyweight.

It is either Hunt as Dana told him to be ready for 200 or someone not currently in the UFC. It could be a bottom level fighter, but they could have less risk by bringing someone in to lose.

Could be Struve too in my opinion.

He signed a 3-year extension in 2015, which will expire around the time of WM in 2018.

Are you sure it was 3 years? I swear at WM in 2015 I heard it was a two year deal.

Did they really need to bring Brock in and try to turn him into an attraction?
UFC 200 is a great card.
Adding Brock turns one of the main card fights into a show.
He would have been a better fit on a future card with lesser pop.
Could have fit in nicely on 203 which will probably be a heavyweight heavy card.
And with most major titles being contested close together, there's due to be a lull from the 203 card in September until December or so.

What else is on the card besides Bones v. DC? Legitimately asking. That's why they spent big on Brock. So that way they can get a huge buy rate. Which they lost when Conor did his thing.

                          Aldo/Edgar interim for the featherweight.
                          Tate/Nunes for women's bantamweight.
                          Velazquez/Browne.
Hendricks, Dillashaw, Zingano in separate apparent undercard fights.
                          It's a legit card.
I get trying to capitalize and increase revenue, but they are going to likely have some pretty weak cards at least 204 and 205.
Could have put him as headline one of those events.

The UFC wants to beat the UFC 100 PPV record and Jones/Cormier 2 wasnt going to do that so they got Brock.

203 wouldve been a bit of a waste for Brock (September cards rarely do well because they are competing against College Football) plus who knows if the WWE wouldve been willing to let him fight on that card.

205 is going to be huge because its the NY card.

204 is likely to be a international PPV and I doubt Brock wouldve wanted to headline one of those.

203 is a showcase for Miocic and the reason its in Cleveland. Brock wouldnt headline a fight over the HWC fight.

200 is the only one that works with his WWE schedule.

Maybe WWE wouldn't allow him to. Seeing as he is still under contract with them. At 205 they could have Bones, Rockhold, Bisping, anyone from the last couple cards. If they are willing to take a fight in 5 or more months since their last fight. They can make it work. Also isn't that MSG card like 206 or around there. And that will make a lot of money, IMO.
