No main event details but we have two rumored fights:

Cain Velasquez v. Travis Browne and Gegard Mousasi v. Derek Brunson.

Not the kind of start I was hoping for lol. Not bad fights or anything, but you know.

Prelims right? I don't want to see the Moose on main cards any more and Cain has fought enough to get a spot on this main card with the injury risk.

Cain is not gonna be on the prelims when his last fight was for the HW title, injury risk or not. Especially given what he makes.

I have no problem if these are the first two fights on the main card.

          I hear you.
          I've been listening to the MMA station on XM Radio and every day it seems like they're speculating that 200 will have nothing but grade A fights on it;
Rousey-Tate, McGregor-Aldo/Edgar, RDA, Diaz, GSP even,...

It sounded like this event was going to be the Mother of All Cards.

Dont listen to Sirius XM Rush. Those guys know absolutely nothing.

The only guarantee on the card is McGregor. The rest are all maybes.

The card will be like UFC 100. The top 3 fights will be great. The first two will be decent. The first two fights on the main card of 100 was Fitch v. Thiago and Akiyama v. Belcher....not exactly a A plus pair of fights.

Ariel is reporting that Nate vs Conor rematch is slated for 200. Weird.

That is very weird. He would be the last guy I would think Conor would fight at 200. Maybe later down the road, but not a 200.

Saw that, and the report states the fight would be at 170 lbs. again.

I don't think Edgar is ever going to his 145 lbs. shot against Conor at this rate.

If this is true, I'm furious. This is bad matchmaking and Conor should probably vacate the belt. I can't believe they are thinking of doing this at WW.

It'd make more sense if it was at 155. But man. I saw a tweet that summed it up best. If Conor wins it kills Nate's momentum, if Nate wins, Conor's stock might never recover.

It's just dumb in every way other than the UFC looking to pad it's pocketbook. A Nate win doesn't even help Nate because he already beat Conor.

Agreed in that I don't see the upside to doing this rematch right now.

UFC in desperation mode since Ronda likely won't be fighting on the card and GSP isn't coming back just yet.

I'm not sure why UFC feels that 200 should be such a huge event, anyway. I mean, it took them nearly 20 years to get to 100, so yeah, that event definitely had a lot of hype around it. They were able to play up the nostalgia of the company and showcase its top fighters on one card.

It's only been 7 years since UFC 100. A lot has changed since that night.

Although, they're obviously fake now, I liked the fights that Tim Kennedy Instagram'ed better.
