Great matchup. Pena keeps surprising me. Interested to see how she does against Cat.

I am kind of disappointed with the main event. As far as I'm concerned, a rematch is necessary if a fight was not won convincingly. As per Conor's UFC 196 loss, he tapped out. Everyone losses in a humiliating fashion from time to time without being guaranteed of a rematch. I think UFC is just doing a damage control on Conor's money making machinery. I am rooting for Diaz on this one.

Conor's off the card. And Dana is on SC right talking about it, on ESPNNews.

          Holy ****.

Can GSP get ready in time for 200?

Didn't get to listen to Dana on SC but I just read on TMZ that he was pulled from the fight because he refused to promote it.

This looks super weak on Conor's part. I can understand not wanting to do promo stuff because none of these fighters do. However, he had no problem showing up for **** when he was taking everyone out. Nate choked his *** out and now he doesn't want to show his face and face some questions? Lol @ this guy.

I think he just recently went back to Ireland and sounded like he was going back to normal training to get ready for the fight. He cancelled his movie role to train. Maybe the UFC didn't want to pay him enough to fly there. He has made it, it's a long flight for nothing but talking, so he probably doesn't feel like doing that now that he is a star.

This. If this press conference stuff is true, its pathetic.

Looks like McGregor may have retired from MMA.

Seeing a guy die in the ring might do that.

What proof do you have besides that tweet that he sent out earlier that might not even have come from him. And it was Dana that said he was pulled because "Conor did not want to come to Las Vegas and film the commercial and be a part of the marketing. He's in Iceland training."

Also not the first time that a guy has been pulled from a fight because he skipped promotional obligations. Nick Diaz was pulled from a title fight against Georges St-Pierre in 2011 after he skipped a news conference.

                        Really bizarre situation.

Conor never seemed to shy away from the promo stuff in the past.

I really wonder why he didn't want to show up in Vegas....

One reason might be he can't talk stratosphere level trash to a guy who finished him, and made him tap in front of millions of people?
I'm more wondering why Dana has such a quick hook? Something fishy, maybe a way out of the fight...this way Connor retains value fighting in lower weight classes and Diaz can be the soup du jour. losing twice in a row via stoppage would really sting for Connor and the ufc

Reports are coming out that Conor wanted 10 million for the fight, UFC said no and here we are. I believe there's definitely more to the story than "Mr. Promo" himself not wanting to film a commercial or do media, and the money reports I don't think are far-fetched.

He is in Iceland or Ireland training. In the past he hasn't liked the all the media stuff because it got in the way of training. He did it to build his value up, but didn't like it off camera/spotlight. He lost and has a lot of stuff to work on. Why would he need to do a mini world tour? Why do media this far out? It's not like they need to do anything to sell UFC200.

I think he wants to train to fix the issues and then show up in Vegas a few weeks before the fight to promote it. They already have enough big cards leading up to it, so they don't need extra promotion.

He wouldn't do promotion stuff for the fight which I might add EVERYONE promotes the fight

Only thing I can think of is that he doesn't want to stop training so refused expecting to get babied by the UFC and be allowed to miss but they ain't baby him and pulled him

Also if you look on YouTube there is a interesting video of Connor hinting at retirement for the past year saying when he gets the belt and makes money he will retire
