Well Conor's mainly a counter fighter, so yh that's the kind of stuff he will be looking to do. If Khabib's is coming forward at him (which is ill-advised), he would love that cuz thats just playing into his game and gives him opportunity to set up that counter left. And if he pressures Khabib, he will poke at him with shots from range and try to bait him into coming in so he can counter with the left. My point is in order for him to get in for those td attempts, he needs to go through the fire cuz once he's coming in, Conor will be fishing for a counter left. Imo, unless he happens to have a granite chin like Diaz and can take the left hand, Khabib needs to take a more patient approach on the feet and set up those td's. Tbh he's even better off letting Conor pressure him and then counter wrestling.

I am curious to hear what they both end up saying to each other once the fight is on.Comment

Mendes had no real problem taking McGregor down. Tbf that wasn't Connor at his best either but it did show what a competent grappler could do against him. Khabib has this striking defense style which may leave him hittable but I think against McGregor it may be better suited as he's seen it all.

Re: UFC 229: Khabib v McGregor
Yh thats why I said Khabib needs to counter wrestle. Let Conor do the chasing and set up well timed td's off Conor's strikes. If you watch the td's Mendes got, that's what he was doing. He'd let Conor pressure him and only shoot well timed td's when Conor striked and he got him down. But coming forward and being the bull...that play's into Conor's game cuz you risk running into stuff or missing a strike and getting hit with a quick counter.
Will he is a question that this fight will answer.
This Luque v Turner fight should be interesting.Comment

That was so violent. Luque showed why he's the biggest favorite on this card.Comment
