What a filthy card. There was a stretch last year where the sport felt like it was in a funk to me, I wasn't even getting excited for cards. Business has really picked up in the last several months, though, especially since the ESPN move.

Which way are you guys leaning on Woodley vs. Usman?

        great card!

I think Woodley wins. I'm also hoping for a Jon Jones loss which I would give a 15% chance of happening.

Yh really great card this time. The prelims looking really good too! As far as Woodley/Usman, i'm definitely leaning towards T-Wood. I feel like he just has too many tools for Usman to deal with. Good counter fighter, brutal ko power, high lvl wrestling, high fight IQ, ect. I really don't see much ways Usman can win...if he tries to strike, he's playing a dangerous game as Woodley is a good counter fighter and has some ruthless power. If he tries to wrestle, Woodley's also a high lvl wrestler and is VERY hard to td. Honestly, only way I see Usman winning this is if he can somehow wear Woodley down with his grinding style, or if the mma gods bless him with some crazy flash ko.

NSAC will release Jones tests results before the fight. I haven't seen any tests results from all the testing. Will be interesting if he all of a sudden is clean. Will he have more or less than last time?

That will probably overshadow the bad fight.

Seems we have our answer... Jones has failed. 40 picograms this time apparently.

Side note anyone hyped for Askren’s debut? The last truly one dimensional fighter to be successful at the top ranks of MMA? Cannot wait to see what this man can do in the UFC.

Yh for sure. Even though he got here a little late, I cant wait to see what he can do. A great match to proove himself also. Stylistically, Robbie is a bad match for him, which is why I really like this fight. It's gonna show if he's the real deal or not right away.

                    Walker wins

                    (#14|+140|$2.4x|4/10)

                    Misha Cirkunov < Johnny Walker
                    (#15|-150|$1.7x|6/10)

Cirkunov has a solid grappling base. He is a judoka, and his best chance is a sub.
Walker is a loose striker. Walker also has a decent clinch game and is becoming known for his creativity.

                    Prediction: Walker by R1 KO.

                    ___

Result: Walker by TKO (flying knee) at 0:38 of R1.

                      Zabit wins

                      (#6|+230|$3.3x|3/10)

                      Jeremy Stephens < Zabit Magomedsharipov
                      (#13|-250|$1.4x|7/10)

Stephens has a power advantage, and is Zabit's toughest test so far. He has a decent chance at hurting Zabit but his grappling is not his strong suit.
Zabit is a freestyle fighter. Very unorthodox and creative. He uses many tools which allows him to take the fight anywhere.

                      Prediction: Zabit by R3 SUB.

                      ___

                      Result: Zabit by DEC (29-28).

This fight is gonna say a lot for Zabit on whether or not he is for real. Stephens is a beast and this is gonna be a true test. We will see now whether or not Zabit can hang with the top guys.

Great technical fight and great win for Zabit. He showed the hype is for real in this one imo and put on a great performance against a savy vet and ko threat like Stephens.

                            Munhoz won

                            (#2|-140|$1.7x|6/10)

                            Cody Garbrandt > Pedro Munhoz
                            (#9|+130|$2.3x|4/10)

Garbrandt utilizes a pull in game. He can pressure and is lethal with hooks. Defensively he has great head movement but leaves himself open when attacking.
Munhoz has a traditional game. He is effective and has a very underrated resume- only losing to top competition so far.

                            Prediction: Garbrandt by R2 KO.

                            ___

Result: Munhoz by KO (right hook) at 4:52 of R1.

Wow!! Munhoz KOs Garbrandt with a right hook after they start to exchange.
