If I were at an event I would chant for CM Punk the whole night. While I do enjoy other wrestlers, many of the story lines are stale, worn out, or non-existent. Wrestlers are being wasted and while I don't agree on Punk walking out or the supposed reasons for walking out (If its not a work), I do agree that he cares enough to want to be a top performer and put on the best matches. It's like other professional sports... you have people who are talented enough to be something great but just want to contribute and collect a paycheck, or you have people who genuinely care and put their blood and sweat into everything they do for the company.

So you're fine with disrespecting other guys who are working their *** off to entertain you? Other guys that might also have grievances but are handling them like adults?

If people are going to **** on things, which I encourage because it's the only way to really affect change, then Daniel Bryan chants are the way to go.

Daniel Bryan chants aren't anything personal towards the performers currently in the ring, they (I'd hope, although I'm sure they're still not happy about it), and everyone else, know it's basically the fans giving the middle finger to management and demanding something different.

Glad I read dirt in this thread and see a spoiler. I've specifically stayed away from this one ****ing thing and "Oh, look.. they're returning this date".

So your calling CM Punk a child???? Why?? Because he felt that he and others were being disrespected by the WWE. What did CM Punk do that others dont do on a daily basis. You see it everyday. If your unhappy at a job, you either look for another or in some circumstances you just quit! Punk didnt go on a pipebomb mission after he walked out. You didnt see him on Twitter or talk shows blowing up the WWE. He just took his ball and went home. He did something you or I would do with a job if we didnt like it..He walked out. To call him a child the way he handled it is jumping the gun. We all have our opinions on it. Chanting anything during a match is a god given right to fans

You don't sign a 2 year contract for your job. I'm neither defending, nor bashing, Punk for what he did. Only he knows the reasons. As it stands though, yes it was childish and unprofessional.

Don't act like he's CM Angel. He can be in the wrong and life will still go on. He didn't do this for others. He did this for CM Punk.

If I hate my job, you're damn right I quit. But I put in notice and finish my time there like an adult. I don't throw a hissy fit and walk out. Dude walked out 30 minutes before they went live. That's not okay.

Im not saying what he did was neither wrong nor right. Im saying he did what anyone else would do and Just walk out. Its happends everyday. Yes, im sure 90% of his reason was because of his character development. Love him or hate him, he did what he had to do. Contract or not. Im sure he has HIS best intensions in mind. "OH Well"!!! The whole point is dont be upset because people are chanting his name at events. One of the WWE's best wrestlers just left and there are just a few more that are left.

There is a lot of talk within WWE
                    that Christian
isn't expected to stick around once his current contract expires. At age 40,
there's a feeling that WWE creative isn't going to do anything significant with
Christian and he's just "playing out the string."

Gonna suck seeing him go but where do you put him?

That's not really what anyone else would do. Pretty much only him and Austin have done it while at the level they were at.

Look at Del Rio. The dirt says he's unhappy and he's going to leave after his contract is up.

And people should prioritize chanting one of their names...because it looks like one guy just might get a title run out of it.

Well, everyone has there own opinion. Yeah he took his ball and went home..Just like Austin did, Just like Jerry Lawler did, and others before them. And just like the first 2, he will likely be back because the fans want them back. If he doesnt, Hey go work in TNA. Yeah, he could have handled it better but to me it proves hes human just like anyone else

There is no reason for fans to chant CM Punk at WWE Events. WWE did nothing to the man.

Its inappropriate. And on the same note, Im getting over fans chanting Daniel Bryan during all the matches too but at least DB is working to entertain the fans still. CM Punk quit on WWE and his fans.

Some of his fans treat him like a cult leader that can spit in your face and love him for it. The guy has been a dickhead to his fans for years, its always about CM Punk for that guy, so yeah no. Not sure why anybody would chant for him at this point. A month ago for sure, but now? Makes no sense; its sheep behavior.

His theme music couldn't possibly be more appropriate in describing his fans after all this.

I'm not upset they're chanting his name. I just think they're idiots, especially if they're doing it because they think it will make one iota of a difference.

Chicago will do it because they're Chicago, but outside there it just shows a lacking fan intelligence.

The same goes for crowds that randomly chant long gone wrestlers names for ****s and giggles. Want to make a difference? Be completely silent. Chant for Bryan/Ziggler/whoever else that works for the company.

REALLY want to make a difference? Have everyone in the crowd that would chant get up and go to the bathroom/concessions when someone's music hits. Not that fans would ever do that because they're too stupid/stubborn/trying to make it about "haha look at us and how cool and trendy we can be."

I understand what everyone is saying about Punk. Yes, everyone has there opinions. But my whole issue is how some are upset with the WWE fans for chanting his name at events...Why???

They chant "YOU SOLD OUT" to wrestlers who are wrestling there last match to do something else? If fans want to chant "CM Punk" during matches..Let them! I find it entertaining. What did JR use to say.."The fans decide on what direction a wrestler grows". Cm Punk was chanted for and beloved. Did it swell his head,,Im sure! But, he did what he did. His reasoning may suck to fans but in his world was legit. Im hoping to see him again.Does Daniel Bryan deserve a push, you damn right. Cm Punk is still a great wrestler and entertainer and im not holding what he did against him
