They had a single MITB match for years. That's not an indication that they are unifying the titles.

And if they merged them, there would be a single WWE champion and they'd (I hope to god) replace it with a new undisputed championship, but I doubt it happens as much as I want to. People read way into things sometimes. Every superstar has always been eligible and for some reason, they think they have to say it this year. I doubt there are any major surprises except for Triple H, who may be COO, but has also competed in multiple matches as COO as well.

Just like when the whole WWE 12 annoucement was that the make-good DLC would do more than "break the walls down," everyone was getting a hard-on thinking it was a Jericho. Don't read so much into things. Would not be surprised at all if Orton winds up winning it and then what?

Orton could win the World Title at Elimination Chamber and use his Royal Rumble winning to face Punk for Undisputed Champion!

Honestly, I don't count anything out at this point because the last couple of years the WWE leaked information that was incorrect to throw the IWC off. For all we know Brock Lesnar might be really the guy facing Undertaker at Mania and only Vince/Trips knows this.

That won't happen. It was one thing when Cena cashed in his shot early, but that was the key, he cashed in his title shot. Orton isn't going to get a World title shot and then use the Rumble to get into the WWE match. I think Batista dragged his decision out, but most these days have come before the EC PPV.

Like I said, I want the brand split over as much as the next person (and if someone comes in here saying Supershow = brand split over... just no), but I just don't see it happening. Punk/Bryan I see happening behind Punk/Jericho or Punk/Triple H that was posted earlier. With it being in St. Louis, there is a good chance Orton wins, but I wonder if Bryan even keeps the belt through EC? If Henry is seriously hurt, I have no clue what's going to happen. Don't really any way, but the WWE has come to disappoint and I doubt there aren't many of us that want the brand split over. If it was going to happen, I think it should have happened ages ago when they quit doing Raw and Smackdown only PPV's.

There's usually at least one title change at EC. I don't see Punk holding all the way to WM, don't see Bryan doing it either. I wouldn't be surprised if both titles change hands before WM.

Also I don't think the titles will be unified. That's the sort of thing they can save for another WM and have it as THE main event, instead of this year where Rock/Cena is bar none the main event. Would you really want to have something as big as the unification of the title as the 3rd most important match on the card, depending on who Taker's opponent is for the streak match?

Punk will. They want their Champions to look strong going into Mania, and they are still trying to push Punk as that kind of top guy, he can't really afford to lose the title at this point. The only way he loses the title is if it's to make Rock/Cena for the belt.

It depends on the booking. I could see Jericho or Miz taking the title at EC and going into WM as champ to face Punk, w/ Punk regaining the title at WM. If they want to make Punk a sympathetic babyface (which I feel he isn't right now) they should have him drop the title somehow and have to fight to regain it.

They could actually make us want Orton to win vs Bryan if you have Bryan weasel his way into victory at the Rumble (likely) and at Elimination Chamber... the fans are going to want to see his *** kicked and who better to do it then Mr RKO!!

But, that of course means that WWE needs to make us care enough..

This is out of leftfield, but is it completely inconceivable that The Rock could win the Rumble if they decide they want that match to be for the title? If the CM Punk/Jericho feud may not be for Mania (it could be Punk/HHH and Jericho/Taker), then I could definitely see Rock/Cena being for the title. And how better to do that than for The Rock to win the Rumble and Cena to win at EC. Punk loses when Triple H screws him, Lauranitis keeps his GM job the next night, Punk is somehow screwed again at EC and faces a now heel HHH at Mania.

I think if The Rock was to come back for the Royal Rumble, he would probably eliminate Cena just to add another wrinkle to that storyline. No way he wins it though in my mind. Doubt he'd be there, but it is a slight possibility.

Yea, making Rock/Cena for the title would be the biggest giveaway in history unless you think the Rock would defend the title every 30 days via satellite.
