He was wearing the black glove he used to wear as well. I think he's said in interviews he'd like to wear the mask again. Before he was put on vacation, he was talking about wanting to find to monster in him again, to lose his humanity. I think it's possible he wears the mask still.

On the next SmackDown, Daniel Bryan cashes in after Mark Henry was knocked out by The Big Show.



But Teddy Long declared Mark Henry unfit to compete and reversed the decision. Bryan gets the MITB briefcase back and later wins a #1 Contenders match to face Henry inside a Steel Cage next week.

It's a Smackdown show, unfortunately. Friday nights was a stupid idea. Making it clearly the B show was a stupid idea.

Smackdown is dying. They need to do something to get it going again.

They just don't have the star power to have a brand split anymore.

They can't really get rid of the World Heavyweight Championship. That was the WCW belt. There would be rioting in the streets (of the IWC), rivaled only if they put the belt on Orton again this decade.

Smackdown is dying. They need to do something to get it going again.

Kill the brand split is what needs to be done. They are already doing it in a way with these "super shows" because they know they are lacking talent. Right now, I'm only watching Smackdown for Henry. After that, there isn't much going on. Cody Rhodes has no challenges going on. Wade Barrett and Sheamus are eh at the moment. There is no tag division what-so-ever with Bourne and Truth both out and the Usos rarely if ever get on TV (maybe Superstars? wouldn't know).

1) Eliminate brand split and get rid of some of the fat. I find PPV's a worthless purchase right now because there are only 3 or 4 shows to work on feuds between them. It may have worked 15 years ago, but once you added Smackdown, you changed the dynamic. Then going to the brand split, they were at least smart enough to have brand specific PPV's so you still had 6, 7, even 8 shows to work up a feud until PPV.

2) If you aren't going to unify the brands, cut back on PPV's (which the won't do) so go back to brand specific PPV's. Maybe skip January, February, and March since that is the Road to Wrestlemania, but there is no reason the other 10 can't be split between each show.

3) Get back some lower card titles. Right now, you are either a main-eventer, a mid-carder, or they have nothing for you... and then they let so few people into that mid-card title race that it is pointless. Ziggler faces Ryder every week (and never defends). Rhodes faced Orton for almost a month, and never defended the title. If you have it, use it! I saw a rumor the Hardcore title might be making a return, but I doubt it with PG era going on.

4) Build up a tag team division for Christ's sake! Right now, they have 2, maybe 3 tag teams: the Usos, Air Boom, and Awesome Truth. People like to claim Ziggler and Swagger are a tag team, but they haven't tagged in a 2 on 2 match since feuding with Air Boom months ago. 1999-2000 is a best case scenario with E&C, the Hardyz, the Dudleyz, and the APA all as top tag teams. The New Age Outlaws were still around. Too Cool. Godfather tagged with Henry and D'Lo here and there. The Holly's. Rock'n'Sock... I could go on, but you get the point. More than a half dozen solid tag teams and they can hardly manage 3 right now. And I'm pretty sure there roster isn't much larger now than it was then.

WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels is scheduled to act as the special guest referee for the planned rematch between The Undertaker and Triple H at Wrestlemania 28 next year in Miami, Florida reports The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The match is slated to be No. 2 on the card.
