Nothing can hurt TNA as much as TNA itself (read: Carter, Jarrett, Russo, Mantel).

This is going to be hilariously awful. Probably not as hilariously awful as TNA, but probably not as depressing.

Can't get much worse than the WWE now. Bischoff and Hogan at least seem competent on the Entertainment and wrestler development aspect of things unlike the writer heavy WWE.

If they can produce some guys that people actually care about than they may find E's weak spot.

Spoken like someone fortunate enough to have not seen TNA any time in the last six months.

WWE's been the personification of boring, but at least it hasn't been offensively unpalatable. TNA's done so much bad with so much good talent it's bordering on criminal. They've made Kurt Angle intolerable, they've completely destroyed Joe, and they've relegated so many good wrestlers to three-minute bit parts in lieu of endless idiotic skits, incredibly dumb stories, and WWE castoffs.

Look at the 3D-MCMGs feud. It started out as a way to boost the MCMGs' credibility, presumably. How did it end? With the MCMGs getting knocked out cold and Jay Lethal pinning Johnny Devine. And sadly enough, that's really one of their most SUCCESSFUL angles of the last year.

November: Kaz is a star in the making after winning this tournament!
One month later: The guy Kaz beat in the final (who wasn't even in the bracket at first) gets multiple title shots while Kaz fights Dustin Rhodes for possession of a rat.

Feast or (YOUR) Fired, ugh. I can't even get started on that one.

Anyways, my point is that it's a complete, systemic infection that's pretty much completely irreparable outside of a complete reboot.

You really think Vince let him get that close to the inner-workings of the WWE?

Wasn't he part of the booking committee....oh sorry Writer's Committee When you're doing some booking for WWE you by extension get a lot of face time with McMahon, it's how Vince Russo became so powerful. Of course his problem was he didn't know how to finish storylines.

I don't think he was, I think he was solely an on-air talent. I am sure he had some fact time with Vince, but I am 90% sure he wasn't on the writing committee.

Yeah, no booking power for the Bisch. Strictly talent.

If Hogan is starting his own promotion and they're thisclose to a TV deal, can someone explain this?

Like I said earlier in the thread, I think there's a better chance of Hogan coming back to WWE than this new fed actually happening.

For the love of god Ric Flair don't do it. Hulk screwed you enough in WCW with his immature, childish games. Don't let him forever be the one who ends your career when you are the better wrestler.

Hell, I'd rather see Ric Flair job to Santino Marella at WM23 than this.

                        He's a year behind, it's WM 24, not WM 23.

If Hogan ends Flair's career i'll literally cry.

                            UPDATE:

                            Source: PWInsider.com

Hulk Hogan has been dropping hints in various recent interviews that he and Eric Bischoff are on the verge of launching a new pro wrestling venture. While many believed this was Hogan trying to get a WrestleMania payday out of Vince McMahon, there is some truth to what Hogan's been saying.

Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff have been meeting with network television executives about the idea of launching a wrestling-themed celebrity reality show. This would not be a traditional professional wrestling promotion - the idea is to have celebrities train to be professional wrestlers and then square off in the ring.

The show is being pitched through Eric Bischoff and Jason Hervey's production company - which is responsible for Scott Baio's hit VH1 show.

Maybe they should get some rappers on board. They can bash each other around to settle their beef.

At least this is interesting on paper. It all depends on who they get and the trainers as well. (maybe Macho man?)
