Duke Hudson going Kurt Angle mode with that wig and headgear.

I would've preferred if they actually shaved his head rather than doing it for like 5 seconds on TV and most of his hair was still there when he left.

Mandy Rose is so much better in NXT, don't know where this was on the main roster.

        That's who the Shaman is?

        Wasn't expecting that at all.

I wonder if they really do plan on keeping him in NXT long term.

If WWE ever has GMs for Raw and SD again, I hope Malcom Bivens gets considered.

So I guess that is goodbye for Gargano? Or is he really undecided right now on a future? Seems like an open ended exit. If he ends up signing back in NXT, he has a feud right there. But if he leaves, that's how he gets written out.

Not that it is a great barometer for what works or is "tolerable," but seems like the IWC (or maybe just the YouTube comments section) was [emoji90]ing on that ending.

I mean, why do wrestling fans always need a "heartfelt" ending to someone's run in a company?

Like I remember how pissed off some OS'ers (the few that still comment around here) were with Matt Hardy's last exit from the company. I didn't have problem with it cause much like how Christian, Mark Henry & Big Show departed, it made Randy Orton look like a vicious, uncaring prick.

Again, they make their exit and the heel (Grayson Waller & Randy Orton) gets nuclear heat for beating up the babyface on their way out. You know, wrestling.........

This is all a work, so I want to see someone get destroyed and another guy (who is staying) gain some nuclear heat.

Part of modern wrestling's problem is the fans wanting everything to be too damn friendly and "nice."

            Re: WWE: NXT Thread

Judging by post show pictures, it seems to be the end for Johnny and KOR. After the show, both said goodbye to the fans and were joined by Ciampa and HBK.

I know everyone wants them in AEW but at some point fans have to realize AEW just can't sign everyone who leaves WWE. AEW would run into the same issue WWE had when they were seemingly hoarding talent. Perhaps they end up on the main roster after all but we'll see.

Strong vs Melo in a title unification match at New Years Evil.

I'm guessing this is the end of the cruiserweight title? And probably the end of 205 live since that show really has no reason to be around anymore.

With all the "budget cuts", is there even a reason for a D level show? You got Raw and SD for main roster, NXT for developmental, why have a 205 live type of show anymore? Even main event/superstars was pointless.

To get some wrestlers more work in front of a crowd, probably yeah. Doesn't make for the best TV show, but until NXT starts doing their Florida house shows again these guys need to get live work in somehow.

                  Re: WWE: NXT Thread

I didnt see what was so special about MSK when they first came to NXT. But ironically, ever since losing the titles and going away for a bit to do their shaman videos, they've been way better and entertaining.

And Riddle calling himself the "HIGH...er..Power"

Not sure if they spoiled the winner, but they confirmed the title unification is for the NA Title. So the CW title is done.

Gacys theme is one of the best currently on NXT.

                    Sad NXT fact I saw.

Of the 14 superstars who competed at New Years Evil 2021, only 4 are still on NXT, and 5 (6 if you do want to count Candice who probably does leave when her deal is up) aren't in WWE anymore.

Just some new person to NXT?

Someone from the main roster now in NXT?

Some big name former star(or current producer)?
Matt Riddle wasn't the original Shaman, Fightful's latest report says before his release, Jeff Hardy was slated for a NXT run as MSK's Shaman. After the Hardy incident and release, they rushed to film new stuff with Riddle before the reveal.

Riddle is teaming with MSK to take on Imperium tonight at New Year's Evil.

Jeff Hardy’s departure from WWE not only impacted what the company had planned for him on the main roster but also in NXT 2.0. Fightful Select reported today that the former WWE Champion was originally planned to be The Shaman for MSK. Just days before the reveal of who this person was, Hardy was let […]

I wasn't expecting Hardy to be the Shaman. I wonder how that would've worked out.

To me, Morrison would've made the most sense.

Speaking of NYE, Bron Breakker competes in the main event for the NXT title on January 4. On January 4 1999, we all know what happened. What some may forget is that Scott Steiner was also part of that moment, coming to the ring with Hogan, with Steiner as the leader of NWO Hollywood.

I think he needs to be on the main roster as soon as after Wrestlemania. Dude has star power written all over him. I may even say he could have skipped NXT and went straight to the main roster with a Brock/Goldberg type of push.

After the show his Dad Rick Steiner joined him in the ring and celebrated with him. Ciampa after the show went and shook Rick's hand and talked to him as well.

I'm still not sold on Bron.

Obviously I think he'll be pushed a lot in WWE, but I feel like something is missing, not sure what though.

For me it’s his ring gear. Kurt Angle aside when I think of top of the card guys I don’t think of Singlets. He looks like a pretty generic CAW to me.

*im sure there’s been like dozens of guys no need to name them all
