Imagine in 1997/1998 if they had a room full of Vince Russos and only one Vince McMahon to filter all that. And nowadays I suspect he isn't curating these ideas in nearly as coherent a way as he was then. And less input/involvement from talent. Way more hours of content now obviously too. All this adds up to the WWE product being what it is.

I guess tonight will be the passing of the torch from Ciampa and the old NXT to Bron and NXT 2.0. Have to wonder if Ciampa is done with WWE after this or if they are more plans for him to stay in NXT 2.0.

So The Usos younger brother just debuted under the name Solo Sikoa, but no mention of who his brothers are, his father, Roman, nothing. They really going to do to him what they did with Bron and ignore the family history?

Why not try and let these guys be their own thing first? You can always bounce back to the family stuff later.

I could agree with this before social media /internet. But by now, everyone already knows who he is. You don't have to make it his gimmick or remind people every time, but there's no reason not to throw it out there especially during his debut.

I always went with the easiest answer to the name change stuff, and that's that the WWE wants the trademarks under their name, and I haven't done any recent research on it, but I know they've had issues trademarking people's names in the past when they are just the person's real name.

edit: oh yeah, the Ciampa/Breakker match was great, and Breakker is an absolute star. It's funny because watching that match reminded me a little of Hobbs first matches on Dark in AEW. Breakker and Hobbs both lost, but they both did an excellent job of making the opponent look fantastic. Having watched a ton of hosses come and go, finding hosses that do a believable job of making opponents look fantastic is sometimes a tough ask, but both have been great so far and Breakker really took it to another level. Hope we don't have to wait a year to get him on the main roster.

I agree with this in general. If you knew nothing else, you could see Bron and hear one promo and know he’s a Steiner. And this other guy, one look and you can tell he’s an Uso. There’s no hiding it.

But

this is absolutely what would happen, and why I’m fine with them not playing it up and just making minor hints or references on commentary or something.

Wasn't expecting Mandy to win the title.

The new Uso really does look like them. I wonder how good he is, because it would be nice getting him involved in the Bloodline, even if its temporary.

Wasn't expecting HBK theme karaoke night on NXT, especially from Xyon.

Solo is basically Usos mixed with Umaga.

What a moment to end Ciampas promo. He leaves the ring, heads to the back, and what's up next? Garganos entrance for his upcoming match, and we get that stare down with Ciampa and Gargano.
