Re: Favorite Wrestling game of all time?
Cue the boo birds.......WCW Wrestling for Nes. NO button mashing. Granted, some of the finishers make no sense, because they took the engine from the NPJW game and changed the character sprites to WCW wrestlers, but the game was BY FAR the best wrestling game until No Mercy came out.Comment

Re: Favorite Wrestling game of all time?
I'm gonna throw this curveball out there. Def Jam Fight for New York. It uses a modified No Mercy engine. Was incredibly fun. Even tho its not a traditional wrestling game I found it addicting and actually challenging. Even had interactive crowds that would shove you. Very underrated wrestling game.
I just finished playing a good hour of No Mercy. Just so much fun that I wish we had something that was similar just with next gen graphics.Comment

Re: Favorite Wrestling game of all time?
I began playing wrestling games in this current generatiuon of consoles so my favourite game is SvR 2007. I really like the roster (Booker, Angle, Benoit, more legends), it has a stamina system, weight detector, enviromental interactions (the top right side of the arena), locker room, season and gm mode, more competitive AI, and it gets me more excited during matches than 2011.
However I was planning to buy SvR 06 and Fire Pro Returns to play it on my PS3 soonComment

Re: Favorite Wrestling game of all time?
The real question Nintendo should be asking is how many would buy a 3DS if they released an updated version of No Mercy for it?Comment

Re: Favorite Wrestling game of all time?
Nintendo has no say in whether or not that happens since Nintendo doesn't have the WWE license. Plus, a wrestling game will never be a huge system seller.Comment

Re: Favorite Wrestling game of all time?
I say in US no wrestling game impressed me at release like WCW/NWO revenge.....I remember playing it for 18 hours straight after I picked it up at babbages......for you young ones that is known as GameStop.
I also enjoyed Pro Wrestling and WWF War Zone
Japan Games Virtual Pro Wrestling II and King of the Colisseum II would be tops for me, but I also enjoyed Fire Pro Wrestling D and Giant Gram 2000....because the MAN was in both games.....Bruiser Brody of course...."HUS!...HUS!.....HUS!....HUS!"MLB: Chicago Cubs
NPB: Yokohama BayStars
GO CUBS GO!...MOVE ON BAYSTARS!Comment

Re: Favorite Wrestling game of all time?
I am gonna say NWO/WCW Revenge, that was a great game and at the time I was still watching wrestling.
Until this past month....I just recently picked up a used copy of LOW which I had owned when it first came out, and am loving this game. I am an older fan so I love the old classics and this game just screams classic!
Just got together with a couple buddies to watch some playoff basketball and throw down some beers. Well we ended up putting this game in, booking old matches, and just watching them. LMAO, who does that???? Anyway it was a blast, and we didn't have to worry about not being any good at the game cause we were just booking the matches and watching. Lots of fun!Comment
