    Re: SLIDER SETTINGS THREAD

I tried IrishSalsa's sliders and for the most part they seemed fine.

I don't know what people are talking about, I have AI reversals at 16/20 and I still barely see much reversals.

I'll probably make my own set of sliders, but based on that one I used:

Submissions don't need to be changed
Strike/Grapple defense should probably stay the same
Tag team should stay on default

I don't get why people are adjusting charisma, why not just adjust the momentum rate in the slider section for taunts and attacks?

I just did what I said above and did Orton vs Cena(for the 3rd time) and it took over 15 mins for me to win. And it had me dominating 90% of the match! 15 mins of dominating, and only Cenas head and body were in the orange.

      Re: SLIDER SETTINGS THREAD

(These are assuming the superstars attributes are default)
      Strike/Grapple power: -30
      Speed: -25
      Agility: -10
      Recovery: -40

      Legend Mode
      Reversal Damage Off
      Adrenaline On

AI Reversals (Move everything to the left before doing this)
      Standing Strike/Grapple: 16
      Ground Strike:16
Ground Grapple:13(done only so that you can still drag your opponent without countering)
      Finisher:Max
      Foreign Attack:15

      Damage:
      Finisher:Max
      Foreign 0biect:10

      General:
      Standing/Ground Strike:5
      Standing/Ground Grapple:2
      Finisher:Max
      Foreign Attack:10
      Momentum Attack/Taunt:6
      Adrenaline Rate:15

Just did Cena-Orton and the match lasted 7 minutes, ONLY because of the kickout system. It took me 6 mins to get a finisher, but Cena countered, hit the AA and then beat me because on the kickout meter, you got 1 shot to kickout,if you miss it, you lose right away which I find unfair. Before the finisher, Cena was in the yellow zone. So if it takes 5-6 mins to get in the yellow zone, that's around 15 min matches it looks like in order for the user to win.

For those adjusting sliders. You shouldn't be expecting to fix everything in a single match. Look for 1 area that your trying to fix before fixing it, and it might take 2-3 matches to test it out. For most of my matches, I know the main problem was that the superstars get in the orange/red zones too easily,so I fixed that. Then after I did a few more matches, I realized that I kept reversing too much, AI didn't reverse enough so I fixed that. And after that, I noticed the AI kicks out of finishers and gets up too fast, so that was fixed as well

        Re: SLIDER SETTINGS THREAD

First off, I'll volunteer to help out with the sliders, just shoot me a message or respond to this post and let me know how I can help.

Secondly, what's everyone's stance on stored finishers? Since charisma is related to how many finishers you can store, then that means there's a magic number where people cannot store any finishers, or at least that's my logic, is that accurate? If there is a number that disables the stored finishers thing, then I would think that makes the game even better, with a twist though. I would only let certain wrestlers store finishers; the ones that hit them "out of nowhere" in real life.

For instance, the Stunner, the Rock Bottom, Sweet Chin Music. Those are all finishers that can and should be pulled off just as quick and out of nowhere as any other finisher. But there's other guys that have more elongated set ups or aren't quite main event status enough to be known for pulling out quick finishers. Truth be told, that's probably how the game should be anyway, as a skill. Stored finishers for the guys that pull finishers out of thin air in real life, other than that, no stored finishers.

What's everyone else's take on that? Do people like being able to store multiple finishers? I will say that I love the fact that if you reverse a finisher, or the cpu does, then you immediately get one, that's great. But going in line with the momentum system, you should get the finisher via reversal finisher, but only have a limited window in which to use it before it's gone for good. I'm huge on context, and having a guy gain and KEEP a finisher based solely on one reversal is fairly lame. But being able to gain one and use it within X seconds is a thing of beauty.

Does anyone know what the charisma rating has to be at before you lose the ability to store a finisher? The obvious answer is 0. But I mean the highest number in which you can no longer store a finisher, and one more attribute point would make it so that you could store a finisher. I don't want to kill the charisma attribute completely, but eliminating the stored finisher ability for certain wrestlers and keeping it for others would kick my own enjoyment up a notch or two, as I'm sure it may for others.

Guys like Rock, HBK etc would normally be the best guys on the roster by a mile so therefore they would get to their finishers quicker anyways (I have my mom slider max but at slow for the meter)

Lowering Charisma because of your reasoning is a good idea (I was planning on lowering mom sliders a bit anyways)

Limiting amount of finishers seem logical as stored finishers are weaker plus when you have a finisher stored you cant do a comeback.

Also, I believe guys over 79 in charisma can have up to 3 stored finishers, at least that is what I read in the game.

                    Submission: -50

Charisma: i wouldn't get higher than maybe 25, so i changed The Rock's and Undertaker's Charisma to 25. Cena, Miz, Punk, Orton to 20. And the others to status (like main eventer, mid card, low card) example 15's are HHH, Henry, Big Show etc., 10's are mysterio, morrison, rhodes, etc. ... and so on.)

So this is the set that i'll get good matches and i'll stick with that for now.

Maybe someone can try this and reply! Enjoy!!
Ok, i been using your sliders but with default attributes

for one match I tried with what you said. -50 Power attributes etc.

I played with Steamboat vs HBK, updated to everthing you have posted

HBK is a 64 OVR and Rick is 59

                    GREAT MATCH

                    Match Length = 20:19
                    Winner = Steamboat

I played the same match before this one but with default attributes and i won in only a 7:00 match. For some reason I myself have felt the AI to be less good even on legend when tuned down attributes but this match was very difficult and i enjoyed the heck out of it. We each kicked out of a finisher but then i put em away with a 2nd Cross Body from the top.

Im gonna switch a few more people over to your adjustments and see how those matches turn out. If there good, im gonna switch everybody to these adjustments. I would just change everyone right now but im still a little skeptical because how easy it was before, but that wasnt on your sliders which are awesome(very tough)

                    Just played another one

                    Del Rio(me) vs Miz

                    Match Length = 23:45
                    Winner = Del Rio

Good competitive match, I broke out of the skull crushing Finale and he broke out of a armbar. but I made em tap with another one

i had a ppv match taker vs. orton (me) yesterday. this was the best match i've had so far. match length: 18:55 min
first few minutes i dominated but after around 7min taker began to reverse everything. so after about 13min he hits me with his signature (balancing on the top rope, i'm not so good at move names.) but i came back. out of nowhere he hits me with his tombstone. i came out of the pin with the meter enlarger. then he hits me all the time, i had not a chance to do anything, after around 17min he hits me with the second tombstone, this time i barely came out of the pin. (i thought it's over and was surprised because i'm not so good with this new pin meter). then i was able to start a comeback. hit him with a few moves until i had a finisher and hit him out of nowhere with the rko for the win.

best match so far. tough but always fun and looked like a real wrestling match.

you have to buy the attribute editor. you only can change the sliders without it.

I can't blame you RDZ. I see a lot of people that really enjoy reversals and a challenge, like you and I. I also see a lot of people that can put reversals at 0 and still call it a "reversal fest". I prefer going into each and every match, and having no idea whether I'll win or lose. That one thing is what has killed every next gen WWE game for me. If you can't lose, what's the point? I also know many will disagree, but even if I go into a match as Undertaker and take on Santino, I still want it to be a fight. I look at wrestling the same way as I look at MMA or UFC, upsets happen, expect the unexpected, everyone has a punchers chance, etc. I don't want to have any guarantees. I'll take my attribute advantages and all that, but at the end of the day it should at least be challenging. What are you using for sliders right now RDZ?

Saying you should "dominate" weaker wrestlers is akin to picking the Lakers in NBA 2k12 and getting upset because you only beat the Browns 21-17, and you should've dominated them because they're that much better. It's a sport, things happen, upsets, miracles, whatever. If anything, I would say that's a crazy compelling storyline, but that's just me.

I did want to reiterate from my last post, does anyone know what the lowest charisma number is you can set to prevent people from storing a finisher? I realize most of you probably don't know and don't understand why I can't just figure it out. But the reality is, there's no way to test it unless it's in a match. So I'd have to start from 0, do a match, then 1, do a match, etc. That's about 25 test matches and since I'm using these sliders and have already edited my entire roster, that's about 25, at least 10 minute matches, just to find the magic number. Eventually I'll do it if I have to though, just curious.

I also wanted to respond to the guy above, you cannot edit wrestlers without purchasing it via shop. But the cool thing is that you don't have to get Fan Axxess or Online Axxess. You can JUST buy the editor for 99 cents. Which to me, is worth it, and I strongly recommend it because editing these guys makes the game infinitely better.

Last but not least, I wanted to remind everyone who is saying that the CPU is having a hard time getting their finisher. Well depending on the slider set, I see a lot of "momentum taunt" sliders at 3 or higher. The thing is, unless it's the beginning of the match, or they've just thrown you out of the ring, the CPU doesn't really ever taunt. While most of us are accustomed to doing a taunt in order to get our momentum meters filled. So I would say keep that in mind. I would give them a boost by putting the momentum rate attacks up to 3 and momentum rate taunts down to 0 to keep it on an even playing field. That way their lack of taunts doesn't affect the match as much.
