    DZ(me) vs DBryan

    match length = 11:06
    Winner = DZ

    So far what i've seen -25 makes a huge difference from -50

    All matches i played with same OVR guys w/ -50 attributes, the match was about 20 min long

    My eddie vs edge match at -50 was 19 mins, but when i replayed it at -25, it was 14 mins long

      Re: SLIDER SETTINGS THREAD

      I think I might be leaning towards -25 power attributes because i still get matches 10-15 mins. Which I find very awesome/realistic.

      HaHa, Im debating on which one (10-15 mins or 20 mins) while in SvR 2011, i was trying to find out how to make the cpu a challenge and have a match last longer than 5 mins. lol

      I love WWE'12

        Match length = 15:08

          The one thing I found, is that the game plays differently between CPU vs CPU and CPU vs USER.

          I had Santino (me) vs Big Show with the adjustments made. Santino was now rated something like a 30...his power is about 40 pts lower than Big Show. Yet, during a User vs CPU, I dominated the Big Show and beat him no problem.

          However, CPU vs CPU, Big Show dominated Santino. Another thing I'm noticing...the SPEED attribute plays a HUGE role in this game. You could have a lower power, but high speed, and you'll still win. I'm going to experiment with putting Santino's speed real low and see if there is a difference.

            Not really seeing those issues with cpu vs cpu here...but I typically play every match, randomly select who I'll be at the beginning.

              RDZ - I'm using a bit of a combination between yours and Seymour Scagnetti's from one of the first pages of this thread. I can't remember exactly though. I'm pretty happy with them though, I'll probably beef up the AI if I do end up making any changes.

              I will also try your sliders specifically tomorrow if I get a chance, with both -25 and -50 power edits. Have you "officially" decided on which one you'll be using for the long haul? I'd definitely prefer shorter matches in some capacities, with the potential for the 20+ minute matches, almost as a welcomed surprise when they do occur, but never guaranteed.

              I will say that I absolutely had an incredible match earlier tonight, far and away the best wrestling match I've ever had in any wrestling game, hard to believe but I've only had this since Wednesday and it already supplanted a few No Mercy matches as my best ever. On the Royal Rumble card, I'd already had a few great matches. Vader W Sheamus Via Big Splash Pin @ 22:42. HBK Draw Edge in 20 minute Iron Man Match, 0-0. Big Show (cpu) W Brock Lesnar via giant punch to the face @ 15:49.

              Then I had my co-main event. Randy Orton (Hum) Vs. Undertaker, Hell in a Cell. The match went all over the place, outside the ring, outside the cell, around the ring, through a table, steel chairs, top of the cage, survived a tombstone that dented but didn't break the cell by kicking out on a short 2. (I had pinfalls count anywhere on, thank you match creator). I attempted an RKO but got thrown and would've gone off the cage had I been a few inches closer. Suplexed Taker through the roof of the cage, he kicked out on a long 2. He hit chokeslam/tombstone combo, another near 2, this one almost 3.

              I got a comeback moment out of the kickout and waited for a few seconds, dizzied taker, then launched it, he immediately reversed it, so there's that. Fought for awhile longer, I got a couple of 2 counts off non-special moves, then decided 'eff this, i just want to win now' so I went and got a chair. Not sure wtf happened but apparently Taker didn't like getting hit with a chair. Went into some odd moment I'd never seen, not sure if it was a comeback moment or what, but he really wasn't losing at that point, and I'd just had my own comeback moment 2 or 3 minutes before his. It appeared differently than a comeback moment, but was still based on quick time events. He hits his fourth tombstone after that, and that was the one I couldn't kick out of. Undertaker wins World Heavyweight Championship via 4th tombstone piledriver @ 29:12. It was $%#^ing ****.

              I do have two questions for everyone though.

              1. Aside from "comeback" moments, are there any other quick time events in the game? Is that what they adrenaline meter is? I'm confused as to what the different is between the adrenaline meter and the charisma/momentum meter that gets you finishers is.

              2. When you're supposed to reverse a grapple, R2 flashes. If you time it right, you'll counter-grapple. But, if you don't time it right, and they do certain moves, you see R2 flash again. Is that your window to counter the move itself? It reminds me of All-Stars a bit, since you could counter counters and reverse reversals. I'm not used to having that level of control in a WWE game so I keep forgetting to hit the 2nd R2.

                For the laong haul, im using -25, i get good solid 10-15 min matches and the occasional 20 min match

                for your questions

                1. Adrenaline is just a meter to tell you how long your superstar can run for...for example, run around the ring and you'll see it decrease and when empty, you cant run anymore

                2. yes I believe it is like All Stars when it comes to the double R2 flashes

                  So any truth to the CPU being less aggressive with power attributes at -50 or -25 less than default?

                  Legend difficulty. I noticed the CPU a little aggressive with power attributes at -50. Maybe I was imagining it though.

                    Anyone know how to make the user counter less moves? I have reversals set to 0 on the general section of the sliders yet I still reverse too many moves. The AI reverses a good amount of moves, but I still reverse too much(and the reversal indicator is off too)

                    Most of my matches(with my sliders) last about 10 minutes. I'm hoping if I counter less moves, the time will increase to around 15 minutes

                      You could try reducing recovery.

                      When you're in the incapacitated state its harder to counter.

                      But that would be worthless if you dont find the AI challenging.

                      Are you on Legend also?

                        OVRs instead of both being a 80, they are both a 87 w/ -25 power attributes

                        -50 = edge/eddie 80 OVR
                        -25 = edge/eddie 87 OVR

                        Eddie(me) vs Edge

                        Match Length = 13:57
                        Winner = Edge

                        Very tough, good match. I got speared but i kicked out because of the resiliency ability, got my finisher but EDGE reversed it and speared me again, it was over.

                        I played a match before this one w/ -50 power attributes, heres the results

                        DZ(me) vs DBryan

                        Match = 21:37
                        Winner = DZ

                        so from these results...-50 power attributes is leading me towards 20 min matches, while -25 gave me a 14 min match

                        out of 3 matches w/ -50 power attributes

                        im 1-3 on my sliders and the avg. match length is 20:00 min

                        1 match w/ -25 power attributes....14 mins
                        heck, IMO.. you could test -20, might get you to the 9 to 12 min mark TV style matches or so (even though a bit long for most tv matches).. just a thought..

                        but if you stick with -25, works well, then during PPV's you can just adjust them -25 more to get a better PPV match time wise.. then after PPV adjust back up plus 25, until next PPV..

                          I just had a 15 min match with ADR and Punk that with the -25 and it ended with an ADR stomp to the arm. lol

                          It was a great match though. Back and forth. We both got out of each others finisher twice. Just sucks such a great match ends on an arm stomp.

                            i dont get how these guys at THQ dont get it, in terms of matches not ending the way we would see on TV.. meaning, always end with a finisher/sig move, or an illegal object etc, then a pin..

                            they need to somehow program this into the matches that no pin falls can win a match unless a finisher has just been hit, or a big time move after an earlier finisher.

                            make this a sports entertainment game, not a fighting game.

                            with that said, they have a great game to go off of for next year, bc wwe 12 is a blast!!

                              with that said, they have a great game to go off of for next year, bc wwe 12 is a blast!!
                              And they can do this by revamping momentum.

                              Some moves give more momentum swings than others.

                              Scrap the damage, use it as a wear down tool.

                              Hugh Momentum on your side equals winning the match (potentially getting a 3 count)

                              A dramactic 2 count could shift momentum back to the opp a bit.

                              Come THQ, how can you watch a match IRL and not incorporate something like this?

                              Don't play video games. Play wrestling!

                              As Da Czar would say

                                Legend difficulty. I noticed the CPU a little aggressive with power attributes at -50. Maybe I was imagining it though.
                                I just put in the sliders and attribute tweaks last night and I also noticed that the ai seemed less aggressive and spent a bit more time standing around than usual. Otherwise though everything worked great. I do a lot more ai vs ai matches than playing them so I'm trying to find the best tweaks for that more so than playing.
